A young lady is all ears as Duke preaches in Summer For Jesus, New Life AG Church, Hyderabad on 29 May. The no beating about the bush approach, contemporary stories-loaded, extremely practical approach that Duke uses in his preaching makes it all the more easier for the Google Generation to listen to his messages. This young lady became a great pal of Duke's son, Dale, aged five, after the service.

Duke Jeyaraj speaks in a Workshop at Summer for Jesus in the New Life AG Church on May 27, 2009. He spoke on the topic, Atrocious Alternatives for Marriage Challenged covering taboo topics such as Living In, Gay Marriages, Porn Watching- Masturbation, etc. The young people listened from the edge of their seats and were blessed.

Duke Jeyaraj preached on 29 May at Summer For Jesus, a youth convention at New Life AG Church, Secunderabad. Duke challenged the youth from the book of Jonah. He stopped midway during his message to give a salvation altar call. The response was immediate. He carried on preaching. At the end of the message, he gave a call for those who felt called for fulltime ministry. Again about 30 young people responded. Almost half of the 1000 youth who were there came forward to give their time, talent, treasure for the Lord during the powerful prayer time! One young man wanted Duke to give the mike to him so that he could confess his sins publically to the audience as the Holy Spirit was powerfully promting him to do so!
Duke spoke in the YOUTH FOR CHRIST camp in Word and Deed Centre, Hayath Nagar on the 26 May from Mark 5. This message was titled, Chains to Cheers, a Gospel message. At the end of that talk several young people gave their hearts to Jesus.
On May 24, 2009 about 30 people, young and old, from different churches and corporate companies in Hyderabad gathered in the home of Daniel and Magdalene in Somajiguda. Duke lead them into a stirring summary practical study of the book of Judges. Duke wrapped the message of that book using the acronmyn J-u-d-g-e-s. That particular day, Jeffrey Daniel, celebrated his birthday as well.

Duke makes a persuasive point even as he speaks on the topic, Work Life Balance - A Biblical Perspective, in the God@Work confrence for Corporates all over India, this May in Bangalore. Emails/Scraps/SMSs as found below encourage him to continue to travel and preach and write so as to make the Bible relevant for the Google Generation

What you wrote made us float….

(Then we quickly got back to the ground to gloat “in the Lord!” who made all this possible!!).

The following are selections of emails/SMSs/Scraps that Duke Jeyaraj received recently:

Hi Duke...I just received the latest issue of your magazine (thro’ email)... it looks really great these days...the content has always been inspiring and challenging, but over the past few issues the layout and overall look of the magazine is classy - Devananadham Henry, New Jersey, The U. S.

Hello Bro. Duke, I am so glad to see you and blessed by your powerful spiritual messages in the youth camp I attended in Carmel Campus in Hyderabad. Especially the Great message HOW TO OVERCOME TEMPTATIONS, you preached helps me a lot when I face many temptations when I am with my colleagues….The best decision I ever took was after your second message in the camp in which you called for people who commit for fulltime ministry to come forward. I came forward and so did 50% of the audience! – one young camper in one of the youth camps Duke preached in this March 2009.

Duke’s right!! – one comment after someone watched Duke’s Youtube message clip video, Nudity  and Porn: Kate Winslet Vs The Bible.

Dear Mr. Duke, God talked with me and he touched me when I heard you preach in the youth camp I attended. Your magazines are helping me a lot. - Bhavana Smitha. M,  Hyderabad.

Dear Duke, Evan, Dale and Datasha, The magazine The Days of Your Youth continues to get better in format, content, lay out and what is more, it features new writers…WELL DONE. We have all been blessed by the recent issue and specially the case study of a young girl....

You may recall that we had translated the Gospel you wrote for the present generation titled, Aiswariya Felt It: The Vacuum in the Heart, into Bengali for local distribution. We had intensified the distribution while Aishwarya was here (in Kolkota), close to a month shooting for the film Raavan. My wife and I want to let you know that last week we crossed the mile stone of distributing the 10000th tract…Besides helping us sow His seeds in the Salt Lake area wherein we reside, membership for the Care Group meeting at our residence (Wednesday 07.00 pm) has increased. - Jebaraj D.G., A Country Director with Compassion International.

Wow ! Duke..It’s great to see you (based on your Facebook updates) doing God's work... You have always been that way from school I guess...Really proud :) My prayers for your ministry :) – Facebook Scrap left by
Accenture-employed Ida Scudder School Student for whom Duke was a School Senior.

Dear Duke, Just to let you know – how much I enjoyed the time with you and your family in Hyd. Especially, I enjoyed your ‘sleeping or speeding’ (message in the Assemblies of God National Youth Confrence) – it did come as a convicting reminder to me and all of us! – A pastor from  Kolkota.

Duke, As always, it is fun to keep getting revelations while (reading your articles). Sometimes I wish I had the time to pause, ponder and wonder about the amazing revelations in your writings. – A young person in Hyderabad.

Duke, I wanted to admit, for a long time was looking out for an answer to this question.."Why did Jesus say ELI ELI LAMA SABACHITANI"?.....and you answered this through your message in Youth Alive the other day.......Was a great revelation....THANX! -  A young man in his Facebook scrap to Duke on 22 April.

Duke, I got great reports about your Saturday message (in Youth Alive!). Thank you for your ministry –Pastor Younus Samuel via SMS.

Duke anna, I’ve mailed you to pray for me as I was about to write my exams. Jesus gave me first mark in my semester examinations. – a young lady from Tiruchy, thro SMS.

Dear Brother Duke, Praise God. I happened to see, The Days of Your Youth magazine, the fifteenth issue. I am amazed to see the work of God in you…. And the wonderful vision that the Lord Jesus has called you for…I am so excited to witness the Lord’s mighty hand in this generation through his precious people like you…. I praise God for that. My prayer has always been always this my brother that God would raise people that would turn around the corporates of these times like never before.   A young woman in Hyderabad via SMS.

Hi, Bro Duke, Those messages you gave in Summer For Jesus and in one Sunday Morning Service in the New Life AG Church, Hyderabad – they all  spoke to me a lot and even now they still do…. – A Young Pilot in Training in Atlanta, The US via Orkut scrap

Watch this daring message clip video of Duke with over 3000 hits on the topic of Premarital Sex and the Bible and what the celebrities say on the same topic. Duke recently got a call from a person in Muscat who had watched his Youtube videos!
Over 120 believers from the Corporate World from various Indian cities came together for a historic, first confrence of that sort, in SAIACS CEO Centre, Bangalore this May (1-3). Duke did two riveting presentations in that confrence called God@Work.
Youth Pastors / Youth Leaders from all over India attended the National Assemblies of God Youth Confrence in Hyderabad this April 2009. Duke preached a stirring revival message in that important confrence titled, SLEEPING or SPEEDING. Duke was humbled and honored by the fact his preaching teacher in Bible College, Dr. David Balasingh, and his contempories in Bible College like Pastor Chadwick Samuel of Chennai and Pastor Jacob Mathew of Kolkota, along with Pastor Biswa Ratna Rai, Pastor Rouko Angami, Pastor Sunny Prasad, his M Div 2001 batch classmates, were present to hear him.
Duke preached a biblical and practical message in the Capstone AG Church in Gachibowli this April (2009) on the topic of Work Life Balance. This church poses for a picture with their Pastor, Chaitanya, Duke's one time Bible College Room Mate right at the back following that service.
Duke preached to corporates from 15 different companies in a rainy and stormy day with no electric power in the meeting place. This was in an Infosys Fellowship Organised Event in Gachibowli, Hyderabad with the theme of Good Friday in April First Week 2009. The Gospel was presented clearly without compromise from the seven statements Jesus made on the Cross.

Young people come forward to recieve Jesus after Duke's message, The Diamond Blood, in the AG Church Youth Service this March in Millenium Gardens, Hyderabad.

The young people from Calvary Temple commit their life for fulltime ministry after Duke speaks to them in a camp, this March.

God did it all. We were just the instruments. And do I have to tell you that we were very glad that He used us. Let me tell you why we were so very glad to be gladiators for God to grab the Google Gen from going to Gehenna (Hell)…. Let me elaborate as to why we have plenty to praise God for….

Duke Jeyaraj, the man I wake up with every morning, a man you know is called by God to grab the Google Gen from going to Gehenna and Yank the Yahoo Youth towards Yahweh was there in these meetings presenting God’s Word powerfully wrapped around contemporary events in a way that made sure they woke up from their sleep and listened intently:

…in the core group camp of Calvary Temple, Kukatpally. Duke preached two meaty messages in this camp that was in Mount Carmel Campus in Ghatkesar, this March. The first message was titled, “How To Beat Temptations!”  and the second was titled, “Do You Have It In You?” Following the second message, more than 50 young people surrendered their lives for fulltime ministry. TV Evangelist Bro. Satish Kumar was very kind to serve as Duke’s Telugu interpreter for these two messages.

.... in the Youth Alive service of the New Life Assemblies of God church in Hyderabad. Duke improvised on the title of a movie starring Leonardo  Di Caprio titled, The Blood Diamond, to preach a message called, The Diamond Blood, on the fourth saturday of this March. Close to 1000 youth heard a heart-melting message on what the Blood of Jesus could do for them from the word "Blood" itself. The altar was crowded. There were wet eyes. Young folks  were swept by the Love of the Savior for them.

… in a Good Friday themed event organized by Infosys Fellowship on April 7, 2009 in Gachibowli. That night it was raining cats and dogs. There was no power supply in the small church that was chosen as the venue. But all of that did not prevent 80 hungry youngsters from the Corporate World representing 15 companies (including Google, Dell, Oracle…) from being there to hear a powerful testimony and the message, “Seven Statements that point to Heaven!” Duke was sweating buckets after that message in that hot room. But what was more was that quite a few repeated the sinner’s prayer with him and got out of the broad road that leads to hot hell! Yes, in that pitch darkness, people who lived in darkness crossed over to a Light-filled life in Jesus!

… the National Assemblies of God Youth Conference in Hyderabad on 21 April upon the very kind invitation of Rev. Valson Varghese, the National Youth Coordinator for the Assemblies of God in India, who is also Duke’s local church pastor. The message that about 300 Youth Pastors / Youth Leaders from Kohima to Kerala heard that day was titled, “Sleeping or Speeding” and was delivered at a blistering pace. Duke was honored and humbled to preach this message with his Preaching Professor in Bible College sitting in the first row – Dr. David Balasingh and Southern Asia Bible College classmates – Rouko Angami, Biswa Ratna Rai and Sunny Prasad – sitting in the last row! Also present were Duke’s contemporaries from SABC – Pas. Chadwick Samuel of Chennai, Pas. Jacob Mathew of Kolkota and Pas. Chaitanya of Hyderabad. What was more - The Holy Spirit was at work from the first to the last, during that message.

…in the National Workplace Ministry Conference, in the SAIACS CEO Centre,Bangalore, May 1-3 upon the very warm invitation of Mr. Mohan Patnaik, Executive Director, UBS (Swiss Bank). The two apt and acrobatic presentations that were made by Duke in these two meetings were titled, “Paul, the Google Gen Gospel Presenter”(a message from Acts 26) and “Work – Life Balance, A Biblical Call”. It was indeed a rare privilege and a wonderful God-given distinction for my husband to join Mr. Anand Mahadevan (Outlook Business Editor and author of the widely-read Outlook article, “I, the convert”), Mrs. Jaya Abraham (whose testimony was also published in Outlook – a Corporate Company Vice President from Mumbai), Mr. C. B. Samuel, Mr. Ajoy Varghese, Bro. Edward Kuntam, Rev. Dr. J.N. Manokaram and others in teaching/making presentations in this standout meeting. The 120 Corporate Company folks who attended this first ever National level conference for believers in the Corporate World represented almost most of the major cities in India. History was made. History-makers were created. God was at work in this conference aptly called, God@Work Conference.

Duke also had the privilege of speaking in the following churches, of late:

…..Calvary Temple, lead by TV Evangelist Bro. Satish Kumar in Kukatpally,Hyderabad. Over 2000 people hungrily lapped up the message that was preached that Easter Sunday evening titled, “What Would You Offer The Resurrected Jesus?”

….Capstone Assemblies of God Church in Gachibowli lead by his Bible College Room Mate, Pastor Chaitanya Gera on April 19. As Duke wrapped and presented the Gospel around the story of a suicide-committing Indian Yahoo Engineer in the United States, some folks were saved.

Duke was used by the Lord to lead Practical Bible Book Summary Studies for believers from different churches in the following places:

… the centrally located large home of Daniel-Magdalene in Raj Bhavan Road,Hyderabad, studies were lead on Malachi (March)  and Joshua (April). After lapping up life-changing truths presented from Duke’s unique “name-of-the-bible-book-used-as-an-acronym-for-its-message” method, these folks from various churches and corporates were served Dinner – thanks to the Daniels.

…. in the home of Bro. Christopher, closer to our rented home in A. S. Rao Nagar, Secunderabad, Duke gleaned out practical lessons to summarize the whole message of the books of Judges (March), Ruth (April) and I Samuel (May). Bro. Rajkumar volunteered to prepare and serve tasty dinner for people from various churches  who showed up, traveling 15 to 20 kms. Jesus said, “Man shall  not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God!” Duke’s ministry philosophy is based on this just-quoted Scripture. “It would take quite a while and a lot of effort to search every word of the God (found in the Bible) and study it. So let us at least read and study every book of God’s book, the Bible and go about in our effort to understand it’s message. And we would be wise to start with the practical study of the lesser known Old Testament books!” And that is what happens in these rare, rocking Bible Studies.

Writing remains Duke’s primary call. Of late Light of Life, India’s leading Christian magazine (available online at, Insight magazine published bySouthern Asia Bible College where Duke studied and the Rural Echo, made available by Maharashtra Village Ministries carried Duke’s articles.

Giving out tracts is something we keep doing to keep our spiritual temperature warm. We gave tracts in General Bazaar in Hyderabad, the other day. As we holidayed in Bangalore, shopped in Commercial Street, hung out in Cubbon Park, we gave out tracts to modern youth who crossed our path. Handing out tracts to interested co-passengers in the Train when we recently traveled to Bangalore was an exciting experience! We saw one lady reading the tract that  God enabled us create titled, Bubbly Outside, Yet Empty Inside, non-stop till she was totally through in the Bangalore-Kacheguda Express! On the Day of Judgment she would not be able to give the excuse, “I do not know who Jesus is. Was he an IPL cricketer playing in a Team I was not following that much?!” And God would absolve us of her blood, which would otherwise be on our head, on that Terrible Day! What a joy it would be -  both for her and for us - if she got saved!

While we were in Bangalore recently we tried to get across the Word of God using different methods:

….by bringing in the Gospel during a very casual conversation on Why Bad Things Happen To Good People while having breakfast with a “Train” friend. Before we parted ways and were ready to say, “Bye”, he was given the “Gospel Special” issue of The Days of Your Youth along with a CD copy containing three of Duke’s Gospel presentations including, a forthright Gospel message on the uniqueness of Christ!

….by gifting his long-lost, without-Christ, B. Tech. Agricultural Engineering classmate he recently met in Bangalore with more copies of The Days of Your Youth magazine as they were ready to bid Good Bye after lunch together!

Through Podcasts ( and Youtube (under the name of Duke Jeyaraj) uploads more and more people across the planet are being exposed to these kind of presentations that wrap Bible Truths around modern day events. To give you an example - Duke recently got a call from Muscat from a man who watched his Youtube video clip! A daring, direct message yet dearly delivered that Duke preached in an influential Roman Catholic home titled, "Wrong Ideas Catholics Have," (corrected lovingly in the light of the Bible) has been uploaded onto our site,, along with other interesting messages. Pass the link to those who need to hear the message.

The official website of our ministry ( has seen over 55,000 hits. This site is so well managed by Santhosh William, now with Haggai Institute – a young man who gives his free time for our ministry. The site carries our ministry reports dotted with pictures. This site is managed by Fenella Prince in Bangalore. SMSs from my mobile (9441352433) with ministry news and prayer calls are being sent through the Internet. Solomon Paul is taking the lead in doing this. We cannot thank God enough for these vigorous, vibrant volunteers. Sharon working in Accenture (Chennai) and Eugene Pandian (Duke’s contemporary from Agricultural Institute, Allahabad living presently in Bangalore) are two new people, both very creative when it comes to design, who join our ever-expanding volunteers team. Issue No.17 of The Days mag was designed delectably by them. Shruthi Joy, Stephen Jothiraj, Bro. Christopher Tharalla take time to read what Duke writes to make sure you read all his swallowed up words too. God bless this Word-Sword-Squad (Editing Team). Thro’ short emails Duke continues to counsel young folks across the World who specifically ask for his counsel especially in intimate matters.

Continue to pray for our ministry. Your support means much to us. In some ways, you are like the ones who gather the supplies for the battle and those who make sure the supply does not run dry! We are like those who have gone for the battle (having said, “tata”, to our worldly jobs) trying our best to wrest the google gen from the grip of Satan who is sold out to take them with him to Gehenna (Hell). God’s Word says the reward is the same for the “suppliers” and “soldiers” (I Sam 30:24). Do I hear you say a “Wow!”?
