What You Communicated Compels Us To Carry On

(TESTIMONIES ABOUT DUKE JEYARAJ AND HIS WIFE, EVAN, BY VARIOUS PEOPLE THRO' EMAILS / SMSs / ORKUT SCRAPS / thro DIRECT TALK Etc)

"There are four qualities that go to make the promise in any young aspiring Christian leader come true. First, the 'roots embedded and drawn from good family' II Tim 1: 5. Second, 'the good friends given by God who have shaped, challenged and imparted the Truth' with clarity II Tim 1: 8,9. Third, is the 'Gift and gifts that God alone gives' II Tim 1: 6 and the responsibility of disciplined facilitation of these recognized God given gifts. Fourth, there is the ongoing development of these gifts from God by right care, personal discipline, accountability to God and the Body of Believers and continuing use of the gifts in Servant Leadership II Tim 1: 6. J. B. Philips in his translation, terms it as 'stir up the inner fire'!

Duke comes from 'good stock' - His family gave him a great start. Duke has acknowledged his debt to those who have 'invested in His life' - friends and other models of Christian discipleship. Duke understands intimately the dependence on the Holy Spirit to gift and energize effective Christian discipleship. Duke evidences the commitment to ongoing disciples that help develop and use the gifts of God by being a 'servant to humanity at large and the Body of Jesus Christ in particular.' May the Lord who has called fulfil His purposes and calling in Duke!"

Duke, this is exactly what I pray and desire for you! You are a masterpiece in making!

The Lord bless you always!

Hello Bro. Duke, This is ….. (name withheld to protect identity), the nastiest sinner of the whole universe. Bro Duke I happily wanted to recollect that day (12 Dec 2008) when you brought tears out of my eyes when you preached in the MindSpace IT Park Christmas Event.

You know I was filled with an extreme abundant joy, strength, hope in my heart after listening to your message!!. (I could sense that) there was a Super Power (God) in you while you were giving a message to us. My whole body was vibrating with joy, happiness, wanted to cry out LOUD.....

-One person from a non-Christian background who was present during Duke's presentation of the Gospel in MindSpace IT Park Open Air Arena on the 12 December 2008.

Hello brother Duke,
I was very much encouraged by your writings from the past few years...Whenever the Blessing magazine comes ...first we kids used to grab it and fight among ourselves....just to see whether your article is there or not...if it is not there..the mag was given back..if it was there for next 1/2 hr it would be with the winner of the fight for magazine....God bless u sooooooooooo much...

I loved reading your article BECKER FELT IT – THE VACUUM IN THE HEART (A Gospel Presentation for Yahoo Younguns!). It is just superb. Well, in the church I worship with, we distribute tracts once in a month. But, some of the tracts are of a conventional type. I just thought of using stuff from your write up and some other quotes and prepare a tract. I roughly did one, but with prayer...and have attached it with this mail. Brother, if you don't mind it would be good if you allow us to use the information. I would be even more happy if you can read through the text and give suggestions and more innovative ideas, as they instantly flow out from you…

Dear brother in Christ,
I have been reading your magazine for just 2 months. It's just straight talk and answers questions with no buttery or flowery speech. Preachers are generally that not so daring in their messages. - a believer from Chennai.

MOTIVATING CORPORATES TO PLUNDER HELL, IN THEIR DELL!
G-4 Mission ministry report by Evangelin Duke
In the months of October and November, the Lord used us in his Vineyard, very graciously. Let me give you the details so that you can join in giving God the praise.
After your miracle…
About 400 people were there, eager to listen to God's Word. Where? - The spacious prayer hall of the Jesus Calls premises in Secunderabad. Duke was given the mike after a warm welcome by Bro. Bhushnam. Duke's topic was differently titled, "After your miracle..." He challenged the listeners with what God expected them to do following a miracle they received. A senior couple came forward to testify how that message was the need of the hour. Duke spent time praying for sick. We believe that apologetics (the challenge for the mind), Bible-teaching (the challenge for the soul) and miracles (the challenge for the body) must be integrated into our ministry. We have a long way to go in this regard. And we are fasting and praying for this to happen!
Serving the Bible in a kitchen!
This meeting took place in a restaurant. Wong's kitchen they call it. It is in Hitec city, Hyderabad. Duke was there upon the invitation of Pastor Chaitanya, Duke's Bible College room-mate, to bring God's word for one Sunday each in October and November. Duke's messages challenged the congregation that met in Wong's Kitchen - a congregation full of corporate crowd. In one message, Duke used the character of Nehemiah to challenge his listeners with his topic- "If Nehemiah were in Nippuna..." In yet another message, given on yet another Sunday, Duke used the character of Paul to challenge his hearers with the message titled "What motivated a Tent-maker to become a Soul-winner!" The corporates in that church were motivated to plunder hell in their "Dell" (the corporate company they worked for) through life and lips. A powerful time of commitment followed. These two talks, along with two other talks that Duke gave to a largely corporate crowd are available in one MP3 CD. Contact us at +91-9441352433 for details.
Zechariah and Haggai studied
Duke led two practical summary Bible Studies for people from different churches on two Bible books, Haggai and Zechariah at the home of Bro. Christopher at Dr. A. S. Rao Nagar, Hyderabad. He used the names of the prophets who wrote these books as acronyms to summarize their message in an interesting and inspiring way. Only when we get back to the Bible, we will see personal and church revival - this conviction drives us to have studies like these!

Birthday bash turned to a Gospel Meeting!
On November 12, our daughter Datasha celebrated her first birthday. On the roof of our home we called for a meeting. We invited our neighbors from different faiths to be part of that meeting apart from our family and ministry friends. The number swelled to 45. In that meeting Duke wrapped the miraculous story of her birth with the Gospel. Dr. Nallaraj Edward and his wife too shared the Gospel through song and through Bible verses.

Abhimanue and his wife Trishna join in for the celebration of Datasha's first birthday at the roof top of our house

Evan in conversation with our neighbours who not only were fed with good food on Datasha's first birthday but also the Gospel from the mouth of Duke wrapped around the miraculous story of Datasha's birth

Three of our volunteers, Shruti Joy, Florussel Satya and Santhosh William, joined us for the celebration of Datasha's first birthday - an event we used to share the Gospel with neighbours who needed to hear of Jesus!

Tracts Distribution
Duke wrote the story of Datasha's miracle birth in the form a Gospel tract and invited people who came to take it. We distributed what was left to couples who were coming in and out of Anu Test Tube Baby Centre in Hyderabad - the most talked-about Test Tube Baby Centre in Andhra Pradesh.

Talking about tracts distribution, Duke distributed our other Gospel tract for the Google Generation, Bubbly Outside, Yet Empty Inside, to the young corporate employees of Infosys. They were waiting for their company bus, the same way Dale, our little son, was waiting for his School bus in the main road near our home in A. S. Rao Nagar. Do we look for changes to tell others about Jesus when we are waiting somewhere doing nothing?

On December 1, 2008, World AIDS Day, Duke distributed yet another Gospel tract of ours which wrapped the Gospel Message around AIDS awareness in the ECIL area of Hyderabad. No day is a wrong day to tell others about Jesus!

The Gospel for a good old man
One very senior man from a Hindu background came for this meeting upon our invitation. He listened to the Gospel attentively during this meeting. Shortly later he was in his death bed. Duke and I went to see him. Duke again shared the Gospel with him. He got up from his bed, held Duke's hands and started crying like a little child. Duke prayed with him. The next day, he lost his memory and within few days he died.
Seven straight days of intense prayer
For seven straight days in the month of November, I got to lead two young people in daily prayer. Duke would join in for sometime. He brought God's Word on different practical topics – fasting, intercession, family, taking care of the body, Holy Spirit and keeping the fire till the end. It was a powerful and blessed time! On the day when the terrorists attacked Mumbai, 26, November 2008, we were in prayer. God poured out an unusual burden in my heart for India on that day. I was not just praying – I was groaning out to God in the Holy Spirit. I am sure that there were many others praying for India at the very same time. These prayers, I believe, moved the Lord to move His Hand of Protection upon Mumbai so that the damage caused by the terrorists was curtailed. Their plan to blow up the Taj did not materialize, as we all know!
The story of God's Grace grippingly shared in Mindspace!
On December 12, 2008 Duke made a moving presentation of the Gospel to over 150 corporate employees at Mindspace Raheja IT Park, Hitec City, Hyderabad, in a Christmas Celebration event. Duke began his talk with the narration of the Mumbai Terror Plot and connected with the Salvation Planning Meeting in Heaven. The audience listened sitting on the edge of their seats. Duke ended his 20 minute talk with the sinners' prayer. One young man came to Duke to let him how how he was shivering under the power of God and that he was in tears following that thought-provoking, contemporary events-wrapped Gospel presentation. Corporates from CSC, Bank of America and IBM were there among others in this event organised by the believers of CSC, with Franklin Lalwadi and Suryakala talking the lead along with others.

Over 150 corporate employees from companies such as CSC, Bank of America and IBM listened to Duke that day

Writing in obedience to God's call
The call from God to write is something that Duke takes very seriously. He sometimes has to turn down certain preaching invitations so that he can find time to write what God has laid in his heart. Light of Life, India's leading Christian magazine, published two of Duke's articles recently, titled thus: When Called To Compromise; Ways To Witness This Christmas! Duke's article "Jackie Chan Vs David" was translated into Tamil and published in the Voice of the Shepherd magazine, coming out of Vellore in September 2008.

Over 28,000 Hits!
Every week, Duke continues to post an article on our official ministry website, TheDaysOfYourYouth.com, managed so very well by Santhosh William, our hard-working volunteer. This site now has over 28,000 hits! Talking about hits, I am happy to let you know that the Youtube videos of Duke, now live, is seeing a steady stream of hits as well.

From His hand to yours!
The task of publishing this magazine is quite a challenge and consumes a lot of time. First, Duke collects secular magazines and takes time to go through them. Then, he fishes out interesting events around which Bible truths can be wrapped while staying sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Then, he writes the articles. These articles are then edited by the team of voluntary editors – Stephen Jothiraj, Shruthi Joy and Madgalene Daniel. Simultaneously, photos that will go alongside these articles are fished out by Florussel Satya and Gideon Samuel Gnanasekaran. Navamani Kingsley and Ruby Evangel design CD covers that need to be advertised on the magazine. Duke prayed a heart-warming prayer in the wedding of Ruby Evangel on 10 December. Ravi Alamothu, apart from choosing photos page-engineers the magazine. It is uploaded on the web by Santhosh William. Part of the magazine is uploaded onto our blog by Fenella Prince. Once the magazine is printed, Bro. Christopher along with his friends helps us in the posting.

Duke prayed a heart-warming prayer on the wedding of Ruby Evangel, one of our ministry volunteers on December 10. Ruby has creatively designed the covers for the CDs of Duke's messages

There was a record-breaking response for the message CDs, Books and the Magazines of Duke at the Cornerstone AG Church in Hitec City when Duke preached there two Sundays spread over October and November 2008

Four of Duke's gripping talks to employees of Corporates at various occasions are all available in one MP3 CD, the price of which is fifty rupees. Navamani Kingsley of Delloitte designed this CD cover, for Duke

We value your supplication and support. Thank you for holding the ropes even as we plunge to grab the Gadget Generation from Gehenna!

DUKE TOO BUSY TO WORK FOR HSBC! IN 'FULLTIME' MINISTRY NOW!

Yes, the day finally arrived. It arrived after Duke Jeyaraj and his family had lived almost three full years in Hyderabad. On November 7, 2008, the 90th birthday of Billy Graham, the great evangelist, Duke Jeyaraj, an Indian evangelist to the Google Generation gave his resignation to his manager in HSBC. The Lord definitely lead him to take this landmark step.
Duke has quit his corporate company job so that he can fully devote himself to study of the Bible, prayer, writing articles and travelling and speaking fulltime. Pray for him, his wife and two children!
Working in HSBC for two years and in 24/7 Customer for one year (earlier on) really helped Duke in many ways:
One, he could meet and rub shoulders with the Google Generation, the group he was called to make relevant the Gospel and God's Word to, on a day to day basis understanding their World. The Call Centre industry has people from this generation - the modern youth. Duke's messages after he started working in the Call Centre/BPO industry became increasingly dotted with terms used in that industry and they directly addressed the problems they faced in the light of the Bible. One such message was, IF DANIEL WERE IN DELL. Another message was, IF NEHEMIAH WAS IN NIPUNA. Yet another message was, WHAT MOTIVATED A TENT-MAKER TO BECOME A SOUL-WINNER.

Two, Duke could have breaktime fellowships right in the corporate company office he worked. Duke would read a Bible verse, preach a three or four sentence message from it and lead in an intercessory prayer, all in the timespan of three minutes. This fellowship blessed many. By doing this Duke followed Paul's model of tent-making evangelism (Acts 18:1-4). Duke even had the privilege of leading one person into the sinner's prayer and a relationship with Christ right inside the processing floor of one corporate office after he logged out!

Three, Duke could support his family needs and also divert some funds for the publication of his magazine,The Days Of Your Youth, a mag that wrapped Bible Truths for Youth around contemporary events. This mag and Duke's Gospel tract, Bubbly Outside, Yet Empty Inside, were widely distributed in the two corporate offices he worked. Even people who were not from the Christian backgroud grabbed them from Duke's desk because of the interesting nature of the articles featured. Upon receiving the tract one girl remarked to Duke, "This is my story told... I am bubbly outside, yet empty inside!"

Duke used his leaves wisely to travel and preach even during his three year tenure in the corporate world. Even when Duke worked in the call centre industry, he travelled (sometimes by Air, sometimes by Train) to Mumbai, Pune, Kolkota, Kavali, Vellore, Coimbatore, Warangal, Vijayawada, Yercaud and other places to preach in meetings organised by various groups. Of course, he had to turn down many invitations because of lack of leaves and other constraints. In October 2008 alone Duke had to say no to preaching invitations to go to Vizag, Nagpur and Asansol. But now, the direction from the Lord was that he needed to fully available for travelling and preaching God's Word to the google generation all over the planet. Duke, now no longer tied to any earthly fulltime job, will also devote much time to writing now. He had one carton box full of message outlines he developed during his personal devotions - messages he preached all across India. These messages will be converted into articles from time to time.

Please pray for Duke, his wife, Evangelin and his two children. Duke is certain that the Lord would supply all his needs (personal and ministerial) according to His riches in glory even though no person or organisation has promised to underwrite these regular recurring expenses

THE HIP HEAR OF HIM!
G-4 Mission Ministry Report by Evangelin Duke
The months of August and September was truly God blessed. The Lord went before us in each of the programs we preached in and made them all a blessing. Let me give some details so that you can divert all praise to the Lord who made it possible.
The Best Buddy!
On August 2, Bro. Artaban invited Duke to preach in the fellowship at his home in A. S. Rao Nagar, Hyderabad. It was the eve of Friendship Day. Duke was moved by the Lord to preach a message titled, "Why Jesus can be your best friend". At the end of that message many bowed to recieve Jesus as their best friend. Among those who bought CDs featuring Duke's messages following that meeeting was a Pilot in training!
Without Him We Can Do Nothing!
On August 9, Dr. Abraham Stanley and his wife, Sharmila, drove down to our home in A. S. Rao Nagar, Hyderabad. We had a meaningful time of prayer and intercession together. Prayer is the acknowledgement that without Him we can do nothing!
Tears of Repentence!
On August 16, 2008, Duke and I were invited by the Youth For Christ Coordinator for Hyderabad, Ebenezer, to preach in an exclusive camp for girls from the North East part of India who are students in Hyderabad. Duke's first message to these 16-somethings from Ezekiel 16 was titled, "A Sex Addict Gets Saved!". Tears of repentence were seen following that message. In the next session, I taught these hungry young girls how to keep their purity in an impure world. They listened with rapt attention and made a pact to be pure at the end of the message.

Some of the most modern girls of St. Francis College in Hyderabad heard about Jesus when Duke preached a message from Ezekiel 16 to them this August

An young girl takes notes as Evan teaches on keeping one's holiness in the same Youth For Christ camp

What Duke preached in the Youth For Christ is available in the DVD format. The message is titled, "A Sex Addict Gets Saved!". Email emailduke@gmail.com to get this DVD delivered to you for Rs.100/- only including courier charges

The Hip Hear of Him!

On August 1, 2008, Pastor Younus Samuel requested Duke to go over to St. Francis College for Women - a leading women's college in Hyderabad to preach God's Word there. Mrs. Uma Christadass, the History professor there, received Duke warmly. Over 150 hip girls heard Duke preach a very relevant and riveting message to them. At the end of the message there were quite a few of them who repeated the sinner's prayer with Duke to receive Jesus as their Savior. Our mag which wraps Bible Truths from contemporary events, The Days Of Your Youth, disappeared as soon as Duke put it for display.

Revival or Funeral Ezekiel!
On August 24, 2008, Duke lead the Bible Study in the home of Daniel and Magdalene at the heart of Hyderabad on the book of "Revival or Funeral" Ezekiel. He summarized and made relevant that book's message to a group of people from various churches, corporate companies and even countries! Contact Duke at 09441352433 to know when the next such Bible Study will be held.

Unforgettable Occasion!
On the same Day, Pastor Valson Varghese dedicated Datasha Abigail, our daughter in the New Life AG Church, Secunderabad before 3000 people. Duke's testimony about how the Lord gave back still-in-the-womb Datasha's life when the Doctor declared that her heartbeat was absent blessed the audience. Our ministry friends joined us on the stage on that unforgettable occasion.

Apt and Annointed!

On September 4, 2008, Duke was invited by the Nune Family to share God's Word to them in their family gathering, the OM Campus in Hyderabad being the venue. Duke's message titled "When Jesus enters your home..." was apt for the occasion and preached with annointing.

Duke preached on the topic, When Jesus Enters Your Home, at the Nune Family Get Together in Hyderabad this September. The Lord blessed the message

When Pastor Arun Andrews appreciated....

On September 6, 2008, Duke was asked by the Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) to do a session on ' Meaning' for a group of young people from various churches in Hyderabad. The young people sat at the edge of their seats and listened to his presentation. Pastor Arun Andrews, the observer deputed by RZIM for this meeting, had words of appreciation for Duke following the meeting.

Duke gave a compelling presentation on the subject of "Finding Meaning In Life" at a RZIM organised event in Hyderabad. At the end of the presentation young people gave their lives to Jesus who alone can give true meaning to Life

Waiting time to Witnessing time!

Duke's article on "Cool with Comrades?" appeared in the Light of Life magazine - a magazine read by the Christian community world over. When Duke travelled to Vellore to sign papers regarding the G-4 Mission work, he distributed the tract, "Bubbly Outside, yet Empty Inside?" - a Gospel presentation for modern youth which he himself wrote to interested co-passengers. While waiting to pick up his school-returning son, Duke distributed the same tract to some students of Sai Sudhir College in A. S. Rao Nagar. Waiting time can become witnessing time - can't it?

Over 20,000 hits!
Duke posts a new article that wraps Bible Truth around modern events in the site, http://www.thedaysofyouryouth.com/ every Monday. One post is titled, "September 11, still speaks!" Now we have over 20,000 hits on this site within a few months. Praise God!

Three minute meeting!
Duke takes time to meet with fellow believers in HSBC to share God's Word with them and intercede and pray for call-centre youth of India. These meetings last about three or four minutes.

Neighbours nudged!
Of late, I am meeting with two young women close to our A. S. Rao Nagar home to pray with them and share spiritual truths with them. On one such occasion Duke lead us in a Bible Study from the book of Amos.

Your support to our little work to impact modern youth is greatly appreciated. The Yahoo Youth must be yanked towards Yahweh! The hip youth should hear of Jesus!

REDEEMING THE REDIFF GENERATION FROM CONDEMNATION!
The G-4 Mission ministry report, May to July 2008, by Evangelin Duke
Youth Taught!
May to July 2008 we did what we could to redeem the rediff generation from condemnation. Let me give some details so that you can glorify God with us. Two Saturday evenings in the month of May, Duke taught a small group of hungry youth at the office of the New Life Assemblies of God, Secunderabad, following Pastor Younus Samuel's invitation. One Saturday, he spoke on the topic, "Preaching to Today's Youth". He based his talk on the life of Prophet Amos. The following Saturday, he spoke on the topic, "The Last Days of History". It was a summary of the important events to take place in the last days of the history of this planet. The youth were blessed and built up in their inner man.

Wrong Ideas About the Holy Spirit shattered!
On the Sunday morning of 25 May 2008 Duke preached God's Word in the Zion Pentecostal Church, Vellore, Tamil Nadu. Pastor Immanuel Paul welcomed him warmly. Duke and Pastor Immanuel were in the same college briefly in Vellore during which time they began a prayer fellowship. Duke's message to the audience of over 700 people in this church, which is the first Pentecostal church in the town of Vellore was on the Holy Spirit. With his Dad, Mr. A. Jeyaraj, interpreting into Tamil, Duke explained most commonly-found wrong ideas about the Holy Spirit and corrected these ideas in the light of the Bible. At the end of the message he lead a prayer for the Holy Spirit Baptism.

Annual General Body Meeting Held!
On the same day (May 25th), later in the evening, in the premises of the Living Word Missionary Church, Anna Nagar, Chennai the first General Body – Board meeting of the ministry that publishes this mag, G-4 Mission was held. Mr. Y. Silver Ramesh, a person who has worked in some of the International Branches of the State Bank of India and Mr. Navamani Xavier, a senior officer with the Indian Bank joined this meeting. Both these individuals were a great source of encouragement and guidance to Duke during his formative years as a Bible College student in Bangalore and a youth pastor in New Delhi. Duke's father, Mr. A. Jeyaraj and uncle, Pastor A. Gnanasekaran also joined this meeting. The report and accounts of the ministry that Duke began in February 2006 to modern youth named Grabbing the Google Generation from Gehenna Mission (G-4 Mission) were presented. This ministry was registered with the Tamil Nadu Government on the 4 July 2007. The Holy Spirit's guiding presence during this meeting was unmistakable.

Mabel Weds Pramod!
On June 14 Duke was part of the pastoral team that conducted the wedding of Shweta Mabel, the first regular supporter of our ministry, in the city of Bangalore, with Pramod Ninan. The travel to Bangalore in train with young friends from Hyderabad was exciting. A young couple, Satish-Jennie graciously hosted us in their lovely home in Bangalore during this visit.

Sick Healed – soul and body!
On June 20, a Friday, evening Duke was invited by Bro. Bhusnam to preach to over 700 people who gathered in the Jesus Calls Prayer Hall near Secunderabad station. Duke's message on what would happen if Jesus entered someone's home was eagerly received by an audience that included friends from different faiths. People were saved, healed and Spirit-Baptised during the time of prayer. Four people came forward to testify that God healed them during this service.

Truth Take on Money!
On June 28, a Saturday, Duke shared what God's Word had to teach about money to a small group of corporate employees in the premises of CBN in Hyderabad, upon the invitation of Mr. Mohan Patnaik, a senior officer with UBS (Swiss Bank). The audience were surprised to hear that we (Duke and I) shunned Credit Cards and any sort of loan during our seven years of married life, though we began it with a monthly income of Rs.3000!

Lesser Known Bible Books Studied!
At the centrally-located home of Daniel-Magdalene at Somajiguda, we continued our monthly lesser-known summary studies of Bible books each of these three months. The books of Isaiah, Jeremiah and Lamentations were covered. It was encouraging to see an Ethiopian student, a senior officer with HP, corporate employees of Dell and Genpact, a leader of Indian Evangelical Mission and a couple of independent pastors join us for this interdenominational Bible Study at different times. Duke used the very word ISAIAH and JEREMIAH as an acronym to summarize the messages of these two Bible books in a practical way unearthing deep Bible truths. With the completion of the study of the book of Lamentations this month, by the grace of God we have been able to complete the bird's eye view study of 12 different Bible books in 12 months starting in August of 2007. Send an SMS to us at +91-9441352433 and we will send info about when the next Bible Study would be.

No preaching; Yes prayer!
Of late, the Lord has been increasing our burden for prayer. So starting from the month of May, each month we meet at the home of Dr. Abraham Stanley and Mrs. Sharmila Stanley in Hyderabad for this very purpose. There is no preaching in these meetings - only praying! We use newsmagazines to provide us prayer points.
In Pune!
Pastor Tennison Peter of Mumbai invited both of us to share God's Word to the youth of Mumbai and Pune in the beautiful campus of the Union Biblical Seminary in Pune during July 12-13. It was a camp organized by BTCYF, one of Mumbai's most active inter-church youth organizations. Duke preached four messages, while I did two. Subjects like salvation, relationships, sexual temptations, Holy Spirit, Life Partner choice and excuses people give for non-involvement in ministry were taken up and given Biblical treatment wrapped around contemporary illustrations. The Lord blessed each of the messages shared. Though this camp was not for UBS students some of them stood dead in their tracts to listen to the openair Sandhya message of Duke from Genesis 39! The young people made definite commitments to the Lord. All the CDs and Books we took along with us were sold out in no time! When our children fell sick during the camp, the family of Daniel Esau came to the rescue.

Duke makes a point while preaching in the Sandhya Session of the BTCYF Camp at Pune from Genesis 39. "The broom temptation came before the bed temptation for Joseph!" he said.

Duke's daughter joined Duke and Evan when they ministered to youth at the UBS Campus in Pune. Here she is snapped by one camera!

Using G-Talk for God Talk!
We continue to counsel and offer spiritual help to youth who seek that sort of help, through one on one meetings and through counseling e-mails. One young person heard what God's word had to say about Boy-Girl physical intimacy before marriage during one such session. Using G-Talk Duke gave Bible counsel to a young man in England!

Seeing a CD as a missionary!
The DVDs and MP3 CDs featuring Duke's messages to modern youth have now traveled to countries such as the United States, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Republic of Slovenia, Singapore, Malaysia apart from India. We see each CD as a missionary carrying Yahweh's Word being made relevant for the yahoo youth to different locations in this planet.

Missionary Journey in a train!
We still keep handing out to interested co-passengers Duke's Gospel tract for modern youth, Bubbly Outside, Yet Empty Inside? during our train journeys. Emmanuel, an Ethiopian student joined Duke to do this during our journey from Hyderabad to Bangalore train journey.

Prayer goes on without Duke!
In HSBC, where Duke works, the midnight 3-minute fellowship continues. Duke was happy to see the prayer going on even when he could not join it. God has raised other leaders to continue it even without his physical presence! The Lord helped Duke excel in his work in HSBC. He was one of the three people awarded a bonus of nearly Rs.10,000 by the management for his excellent performance in April 2008. Daring young people to be like Daniel in their place of work remains our passion and priority.

Thank you for your support and supplication. We value it very much. We have miles to go and many promises to keep before we sleep.

G-4 MISSION MINISTRY REPORT
By Evangelin Duke

GETTING THE FACEBOOK YOUTH HOOKED TO THE
BOOK!

The last four months the Lord blessed the programs we preached in, abundantly. Let me give you the details of these programs so that you will glorify God, who enabled us all of this, along with us.

BLESSED BAPTIST YOUTH CAMP!
Brother Daniel M. who works with Operation Mobilization invited Duke to preach in a youth camp of the Baptist Church at Birdy, a serene camp site outside of Hyderabad in the month of January. 60 youth attended. Duke’s salvation message based on King Manasseh’s life cut the hearts of the young people and many gave their lives to the Lord in the altar call that followed the message. In the other messages that Duke preached the youth were challenged for daily Bible Meditation, for consistent holy living by being regular and rigorous in temptation-beating, for active witnessing and ministry-involvement. The young people were richly blessed by the messages of Bro. Stephen David, the other speaker invited for the camp, as well. Duke also took the mike in the question-answer session and took time out to counsel young people on a one-to-one basis. Loads of our literature – both books and CDs – worth Rs. 1500 were sold in this camp.
Duke poses with some of the youth who attended the Baptist Youth Camp at Birdy, Hyderabad - a camp he preached in, January 2008
YOUNG LEADERS OF ANDHRA PRADESH CHALLENGED!
In the same month (January), Duke preached about 100 youth leaders hand-picked from the Assemblies of God churches throughout Andhra Pradesh upon the invitation of Pastor Chaitanya Gera. The Venue was the APAG Bible College campus at Miyapur. Since the theme was the “Armour of God” for the camp Duke felt lead to speak on the Day of the Lord urging the young people to get dressed for “that Day” – the Day of the Jesus’ return! The way Pastor MDV Prakash translated Duke’s message that day was simply terrific. The young leaders crowded the altar in repentance. Florussel Satya, an always-available G-4 Mission Volunteer, who also works for Getty Images in Hyderabad, was there to video-shoot that message.
POST VALENTINE DAY MESSAGE
On the post-Valentine Day Saturday, February 16, Duke was invited by Pastor Younus Samuel, to preach over 700 young people at the Youth Alive Service of the New Life Assemblies of God Church, Secunderabad. Duke began his talk, talking about a smart answer US President Hopeful John McCain gave to a tough question and then went on to talk about questions-answers on marriage-romance. He based his message on the Isaac-Rebekah story found in Genesis 24. The young people giggled in glee when Duke joked and groaned in repentance when Duke gave a salvation altar call.

Duke brought a lively and life-changing message from Genesis 24, the chapter we get to read about the Isaac-Rebekah story to over 500 youth of the New Life AG church, Secunderabad on the post-valentine day Saturday, 2008. This message contains frank questions and answers on issues of marriage and romance. This message is found in DVD format in the CD found above whose cover was designed by Ruby Evangel

CORPORATES TAUGHT ABOUT INTEGRITY!
Brother Mohan Patnaik, part of the senior management team of UBS (Swiss Bank), invited Duke to share on the subject of integrity at the Morph meeting for Christians in the corporate world on February 23. Duke’s message was hungrily-received by the audience that had young corporate workers from Google, Satyam, HSBC and Olive Technology. A powerful time of commitment followed the message!

WORKSHOP ON WOMEN’S DAY!
I was honored to receive an invitation from The New Life Assembly of God Church – the largest church in Secunderabad – to do a presentation for singles during the special Women’ Day program on March 8, 2008. About 200 young girls sat for my workshop. Many of them worked in top MNCs like Genpact and Satyam. When I went to the Lord in prayer, He guided me to speak on the topic, “Single & Despondent to Single & Confident!” The young people eagerly received several no-nonsense counsels from God’s Word on practical problems they faced in their day to day lives: being misunderstood at home, being harassed at workplace, being tempted when with friends, confused about life partner choice. We received emails that told us how much these young people were blessed by that session.

INTERNET GENERATION CHALLENGED FOR INTERCESSION!
Duke was invited by the youth of New Life Assembly of God Church, Secunderabad, to speak in their day of fasting on April 12. Duke challenged them with a message that was titled, “Internet Inspiration for the Internet Generation!” Several practical decisions were taken at the end of that message which was the most persuasive call that Duke had ever made for prayer and intercession. One decision was to keep off from the internet, television and food for at least one full day each week so that one could pray with concentration and consecration.

SHARING TRUTH IN A THANKSGIVING MEET!
Ravi Alamothu, a manager with the Corporate Communications Team of HSBC, and the volunteer-designer of the mag you hold in your hand, invited Duke to preach in a thanksgiving meet at his home at Damaiguda, on the April 13, 2008. Duke took that opportunity to present the Gospel to the well-wishers of his, both from his neighborhood and from his company in his message that was titled, “When Jesus Enters Your Home”. Duke’s colleague in HSBC, Chryso, interpreted Duke’s message into Telugu.

TOGETHER TO GATHER!
I strongly believe the Lord brought Duke and I together in marriage so that we could join together and gather souls for Him. We often remind ourselves that we are together, to gather – souls! When we went together to Maharashtra recently (April 17-19), upon the invitation of Bro. Jeyaraj Barthlomew we saw that purpose of God uniting us being fulfilled. In a youth camp organized by the Indian Evangelical Team at Dapegoan we addressed 200 people. While Duke preached three messages, I got to preach two. In each session the presence of God was unmistakable. Our messages were interpreted into Marathi. Several young people gave their lives to the Lord and were baptized in the Holy Spirit following Duke’s messages titled, “Salvation Photos!” and “Good Ghost!” respectively. There were tears in the eyes of some. One CMC-trained doctor who heard the messages said that she had never heard such messages for the past 40 years of her life! My challenge to the young people on the topics of relationships and witnessing touched the audience and torched a burning zeal in them to do something for the Lord. 17 people lined up for Water Baptism by immersion following the Camp. The worship lead by Pastor Kishore and his wife had the audience dancing in the joy of the Lord in this Camp.

God brought Duke and Evan together in marriage, so that together they could gather - souls for Him. Recently they preached in tandem in a youth camp of the Indian Evangelical Team in Dapegoan, Maharashtra
GETTING THE FACEBOOK YOUTH HOOKED!
One of the specific burdens the Lord has given us is to get modern youth – the Facebook Generation as we label them – hooked to the Bible by making its message relevant to them. And what happens on a select Sunday evening, month after month, at the sprawling home of Daniel and Magdalene, situated at the heart of Hyderabad, is one way that goal is being fulfilled in a small way. We see young people getting hooked the greatest book, book by book, each month, there, as Duke leads them in an unique Bible study. In this interdenominational Bible Study that draws about 15-20 people each month Duke summarizes the message of one chosen book of the Bible and makes it life-relevant using his own acronym style. Padma Nela and Tanmay Nayak, two young folk thoroughly blessed by this Bible Study, brought in their friend as well for this study so that they too would be blessed. From January to April we studied the following four books of the Bible in four separate Bible Studies: Joel, Zephaniah, Obadiah and Nahum. Each of those studies proved to be an eye-opener. Familiar Bible truths were fished out from unfamiliar Bible passages. Some sights in this Bible Study will make the purists cringe: young people looking up the Bible references in their cellphones – thanks to the Bible software loaded on them! We witness the Lord doing miracles for us, as we join our hearts and pray for the specific problems we face in our personal lives, following the study of his Word, there. To know when we will meet next to study the next Bible book, please call or sms Duke at +91-9441352433.
PRAYING RIGHT INSIDE A CORPORATE OFFICE!
Duke joins with fellow believers during breaks for a quick time of prayer, followed by a minute message from the Bible at HSBC, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, where he works. Now the time of prayer is midnight 00:30 hours! Oh that such prayers will be held in every corporate office in the planet!

ENLIGHTENING ARTICLES & TRACTS-DISTRIBUTION!
The Lord also enables Duke to write enlightening articles for a world-wide audience through the LIGHT OF LIFE magazine. The last two articles of his that were published by this esteemed magazine were titled, “Is Orkut Obsession Okay?” and “To Him our lives must bow, right now!” The tract that Duke has written for the modern youth titled, “Bubbly outside, yet empty inside” is being distributed actively. Duke distributed to a few co-passengers of his during his train journeys to Vellore and Vijayawada. We all must be witnesses for Christ wherever we are, wherever we go!

MORE EQUIPMENTS ADDED!
The Lord added to our ministry equipment, a sleek Samsonite Laptop Bag and a wireless internet router through a family. We cannot stop thanking God for such generous hearts! And please do not stop praying for us – mere donkeys carrying Jesus Christ to the Google Generation!

HOW WE REACHED THE NOW GENERATION IN 2007!

G-4 Mission Annual Report by Duke Jeyaraj

Second year with every second of God's grace

Another year is over. It was a year drenched in God's Grace. When I turn back and look at the year that has gone by, I can only look high and say, "Thank you, Lord. You made it all happen!" This is our second year of ministry, operating independently, after one year with the Assemblies of God (2002) and three years with Blessing Youth Mission (2003-05). I can confidently say that every second we saw God's grace in our lives this year.

Getting the Facebook Youth Hooked to The Book!

It was the year in which our magazine, The Days of Your Youth , made considerable progress. From single color cover we moved to multi-color cover wrapper by the year end. Each of the five issues (including the double issue) were attractively-packaged so as to make the youth pick it up and read it. The Bible Truth was wrapped around contemporary events issue after issue, in a crisp and creative manner so that the Facebook youth will get hooked to "The Book" (The Bible). A Bible College student wrote to appreciate the article which began talking about Inzaman's tears in his last One Day Match only to go on to challenge the readers for praying with tears for the lost. A man from Jath, Maharashtra , wanted more copies of the issue that had the lead article on the Twenty20 World Cup Final so that he could distribute it to his sports-crazy friends. A young woman working in Dell, Bangalore, wrote to testify that she was touched by the article that talked about 'the black dog of depression'. A pastor of a leading church stopped to shake my hands to let me know how much he appreciated our magazine ministry. It was in this year we started the tradition of publishing testimonies of believers making a difference in the Corporate world in our mag.

They organise the meetings and give the mike to us!

It was the year when God swung wide open the door for so many preaching opportunities. The year began with me preaching the message, "What will you give God this year - Fruit or Boot?" at the Methodist Church, Chapel Road , Hyderabad on the 1 Jan 2007. The invitations to preach were so many that I could not take it all up. I had to turn down invitations to preach in Bangalore, Pondicherry , Kavali, Vijayawada, Coimbatore, Kodaikanal, Miyapur, Kerala and Mumbai. For November 9 (Diwali Day) alone, there were calls to preach in five different towns! But as the Lord led me, I took up preaching assignments from Coimbatore, Trichy (twice), Darjeeling, Kolkota, and Vellore , this year, apart from extensively preaching in Hyderabad .

The Inter-church youth convention in Darjeeling during October this year which saw over 500 youth attend was "the youth camp of the year". I will never forget the sight of so many young people who surrendered their life for active ministry involvement following the final message in this program. It was so well organised by Colonel Ghissing. The combined audience of 6000 that listened to my message on Pooh Poohing Procrastination at the New Life AG Church at Secunderabad was the largest audience I have spoken to in 16 years of preaching. The largest youth crowd I addressed this year was in the tent put up by the very same church on December 22 - the year's last preaching assignment for me. Eight Hundred youth heard my Gospel message, "The Greatest of the Greatest" - a persuasive message on the uniqueness of Jesus. Not only that. Quite a number came forward and gave their lives to Christ when the altar call was given.

None of the meetings I am talking about here were organised by us. Other organisations and churches organised them and asked us to just take the mike and preach. I am referring to organisations/churches/institutions such as Youth For Christ, COSEK (Karunya Students), DELITE (Karunya Alumni), Assemblies of God, Methodist Church, Baptist Church, Believers Church (Gospel for Asia), Indian Pentecostal Assemblies Church, Joyce Meyer Ministries, Morph (HSBC Believers), Genpact Believers, Jesus Calls - Hyderabad, Grace Full Gospel Church, Friends Missionary Prayer Band, Power Hour Church (Artaban Ministries), Ida Scudder School, Yapral Youth Fellowship, CMC Chapel Fellowship and Emmanuel House of Worship. When God lead me to start G-4 Mission in Feb 2006, He clearly told me that this organisation will not compete with the other existing organisations and churches, but seek to complete them, with the God-given expertise in ministering to contemporary youth. And when I see that happening in a small way I thank heavens.

I've Got a Partner....

Though I did most of the preaching this year, I was not the only one to preach. My wife, Evan, also joined in when she could. Her message to the Single Girls of the New Life AG Church, Secunderabad was a blessing to those who attended. On Valentine's Day we shared the pulpit in the One Day Retreat organised by Grace Full Gospel Church Youth.

Testimonies from youth who attended the meeting kept pouring in. An early morning email from a young man who worked for Dell in Hyderabad about how he accepted Jesus in one of the meetings I preached in this year made my day.

No beating about the bush!

The messages preached in select meetings you read about were video recorded. I Will Not Be Silent, No One Loves You More, These Guys Were Killed By God - But Why?, Bid Bye To Backsliding, God-pleasing Relationships, Answers to Common Youth Questions, Taming Tough Temptations, What The Bible Teaches About Sex - those are some of the titles of the new VCDs created this year. Ruby Evangel from Sierra Atlantic and Navamani Kingsley from Delloitte deftly designed the CD covers that showcased these very practical messages. Florussel Satya who is a photo journalist working for Getty Images took time out to shoot one message while I preached it. Preaching is not the only way by which one can serve God, these young people would tell you! These CDs were bought by hungry youth who are on the lookout for practical messages preached without beating about the bush! We even got one CD order from a country in the European Union!

Minor Prophets no longer flat at a sprawling Hyderabad Flat!

Making God's Word relevant to the Google Generation remains one of our priorities and passion. Challenging the Orkut Youth to get obsessed with the oracles of God remains our zeal. God opened the doors for us to get into the heart of one Bible book after the other at a sprawling flat at the heart of Hyderabad each month. It was indeed a privilege to study five different not-so-familiar Bible books (Hosea, Amos, Jonah, Zephaniah and Micah) for five months this year at the home of Daniel and Magdalene along with Bible-hungry. In each study, I tried to summarize the message of the book we took up using acronyms. At the end of those riveting studies in that flat almost kissing Villa Marie College , we discovered that Minor Prophets of the Bible - the Hoseas, the Amoses, the Zephaniahs - are not flat as we thought they were! In order to do this, I had to read and re-read those books time and again - something that also benefited me immensely.

Inviting People for the Lamb's Wedding

Distributing tracts to reach the Youtube Youth is one way I got involved in direct evangelism this year. One brother from Navi Mumbai ordered over 4000 copies of the tract, Bubbly Outside, Yet Empty Inside , an in-your-face Gospel presentation for the Now generation by this writer, for distribution of the same in the most modern of Indian cities. I did not want to stop with my mouth when it came to witnessing. So I used my hands to hand over tracts to masses I bumped into during my train journeys and air travels this year. Notably I gave The Days of Your Youth, each issue of which has a Gospel presentation for modern youth, to ace Commentator Harsha Bhogle and Tamil Serial Hero Vijay Adhiraj, both of whom I met at Hyderabad Airport. I was joined by HSBC colleague Samuel Raj when I frequented the most hip shopping mall in Hyderabad, City Centre for distributing, Bubbly.... After having exhausted the initial 5000 copies of this tract we reprinted another 5000. I got an sms from a man in Kashmir who somehow got to read this tract! We also distributed these tracts to some college youth in Sai Sudhir College , ECIL and Villa Marie College , Somajiguda. Tracts are nothing but a written invitation for the Wedding Feast of the Lamb - did you ever think of them that way? If you did, you too will distribute tracts!

434 runs chased, the Gospel shared!

Apart from regular tract distribution we did some "special" tract distribution as well. When the Cricket World Cup Final approached in West Indies this year, we created the tract, "One Day at Centurion Park; One Day at Calvary Hill" - a tract that wrapped the Gospel around the greatest One Day match ever played, in which South Africa successfully chased 434 runs. This tract was distributed to Cricket Enthusiasts. On World AIDS Day, December 1, we distributed the specially created, "Shah Rukh in DDLJ wouldn't Do It Even In a Dream" to interested youth. These evangelistic efforts were taken in obedience to Old Paul's counsel to the Next-Gen Youth of his time, Titus, that "in every way" we must "make the teaching about God our Savior attractive." (Tit 2:10, NIV).

Corporates for Christ!

Praying in Corporate offices is one of the main ministry activities. "You were the one who preached at Crossfire 2005, weren't you?" asked one of my colleagues after I joined my team at HSBC in March, this year. "Yes, that's right," I told him. Shortly later, I asked if we could pray together during one of the breaks. He readily agreed. This went on for a few days. Then one day, a girl who asked, "Why don't you share something from the Bible before we prayed?" And I did. And this practice which so immensely strengthens our inner man has continued ever since – brief Bible meditations and short supplications all done within three to four minutes – at HSBC, Road No. 10, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. If there was a non-Christian present, I would use Gospel-echoing sentences in the prayer itself. Those who attended testified to how the verses read directly spoke to their situation. My colleagues, Jiphy Jose, Senora Lynette and others brought people to this unique meet using Philip's method of evangelism, "Come and see!" (John 1:40-42). It is my prayer that such prayers are held in all corporate offices in the planet.

A Fulltime Pastor or Evangelist may never be allowed to enter a corporate office. You need an id card to enter in. Working in HSBC helps me get access to young people I will never have access to otherwise. And that can be gotten only if you join the ranks of these companies. What is more - it helps me take care of my family expenses to a large extent. Paul is my inspiration in this regard. He, I learnt just recently, took care of his own expenses in Corinth, Ephesus and even Rome . He lived there two whole years at his own expense - that's what we read about Paul's stay in Rome, did you notice? (Acts 28:30, ESV). At this point in time, I am sure God wants me to work, be a witness at my place of work, use my leaves wisely to travel and preach, and keep publishing The Days mag to make his Word relevant for the Corporate World. I am talking things one day at a time. It is not going to be an easy task because like each one of us, I will have 24-hour days! But God is giving me grace to do what He has called me to do.

e-Counsel

Counseling young people is yet another ministry that the God who gave us the Spirit of Counsel, The Holy Spirit, helped us do this year. I will not forget the day when a young Ugandan couple walked in to our A S Rao Nagar Home for counseling. I also do e-counseling - counseling thro' email. For example, a married woman in the corporate world wanted to know if she could divorce her good-for-nothing husband, thro e-mail. The answer I sent to her probably upset her because she never wrote back to me. But guess what - the answer became one of the articles published in The Days to help others facing a similar situation!

Duke is pregnant - please pray for him!

The book, Wow, Now I Know How (also called Straight Talk on Hushed Up Subjects Without Beating About the Bush) and If Daniel were in Dell (also called Youth Whens) sold several copies this year. Though they are still in the photocopy-spiral bound format the interest young people show in them amazes me. I address issues and problems faced by youth in the light of the Bible in these books and it is not difficult to see why youth are keen to read these works. We must soon bring them out in a proper book format. The Gospel for the Google Generation (a collection of my Gospel messages to contemporary youth), Youth Like You (a collection of youth character studies I have done) are two new books that I am pregnant with right now. Pray for a "safe delivery!"

Writing for a larger audience

Our writing ministry was not confined to just our magazine. God graciously is extending its borders of influence more than I asked for or imagined. Light of Life magazine, the most widely read Christian magazine in Indiarepeatedly published this guy's articles this year. The website, www.2Miles.org hosted a number of my articles. I got an email from the team that is behind this website saying that I was their most frequently featured writer in that website. Since writing remains a primary call of God upon my life, that complement meant a lot to me - I was busy doing what God called me to do! Other websites such as sakshitimes.com and mahalife.com posted what I wrote for The Days mag on their sites, this year. I also took conscious efforts to spot writing talent among the modern youth I knew and encouraged them to write for The Days. And they did. I keep shooting emails to the editors of secular news magazines. One such email earned me Rs.3000 as it was selected as one of the best letters received! Since the quality of writing in Christendom is by and large shallow (sad to say) I am compelled to rub shoulders with secular writers to improve my writings. Ruth Prasanna who works for Google - Hyderabad placed ads for our blogs this year in Google.com itself - something that magnetically pulled the attention of the browsers across the planet who probably never heard of a guy called Duke Jeyaraj. A long lost friend who works for God TV got in touch with us once again using what she saw on typing "Duke Jeyaraj" in Google.com!

The Gift of the Year

The gift of the year was a Dell laptop which a dear brother who works in UBS (Union Bank of Switzerland, not Union Biblical Seminary!) paid for us to have. Girisha who helped me process this purchase online at a concessional rate. God is providing the Grabbing the Gadget Generation from Gehenna Mission (the name of our ministry, if you did not know) some very useful gadgets through His people! We cannot thank God enough for people like him!

Not a penny from a Non-Indian!

It was a year in which God met our needs for the ministry very faithfully. When we began in Feb 2006, no denomination, or Non-Resident Indian or church promised to take care of our ministry expenses. God was our only source. We spent approximately, Rs.1,25,000/- towards ministry-related expenses in 2007. God moved the hearts of willing individual Indians to send us offerings which were more than enough to cover those expenses. Like last year, we did not receive a single cent or a solitary penny from a Non-Indian (not that it is wrong to do so!).

Earlier this year we registered the organisation which I began by faith in Feb 2006 called G-4 Mission (Grabbing the Gadget Generation from Gehenna Mission) with the Tamil Nadu Government. My dad, Mr. A. Jeyaraj did all the groundwork. A board which included qualified non-blood relatives of mine was formed. An exclusive bank account for ministry funds was set up.

From Orissa to Hyderabad

Dambru Anand, a prayerful young man from an interior village in Orissa became our first fulltime worker this year. It is he who packs up the magazines, books, CDs we produce and sends them to you. He also takes over regular family responsibilities of mine (like dropping and picking up my 4-year old son from school) so that I will have more time to write. We are happy that he is a part of our team.

Lime-light and Lime Juice!

The number of volunteers helping our ministry is increasing by the day. Shruthi Joy, a mass communication pro is a crucial member of our mag's editing team. Joy is usually the first person to edit what I write. And she does it with joy despite her packed schedule. Steve Jothiraj also chips in to help in this thankless job as does Magdalene Daniel - a mom to two small kids. Ravi Alomothu, part of the HSBC corporate communication team, was instrumental in our mag having a magical makeover by converting it from Single Color to Multi-Color without much additional expense. Fenella Prince, Solomon Paul, Santhosh William manage our websites so much so that people say, "Wow!" when they see them. Florussel Satya keeps supplying us with good photos for use in our publications. Uncle Nallaraj Edward put us in touch with a family that sold us office furniture for a confessional rate, this year. John Wesley , a college lecturer and an active member of the Emmanuel House of Worship video-taped two of my messages to the youth of his church, this year. The core group of COSEK from Karunya Institute of Technology did the same when I preached in their youth camp. The website carrying our ministry news and articles, www.TheDaysofYourYouth.com was set up this year. Without Bro. Vijay Burton's kind gesture this would have never happened. Sridhar who lives close to our home, drove us for many a preaching assignments this year in his car. Some select folks, living in the bigger Indian cities distribute our mag to interested people in the church they attend and the corporate offices they work in. Sylvester John, Wesley Titus, were two young men who actively sold our books and CDs in the youth camps I preached in. Bro. Christopher, a fulltime minister who lives close to our home, is a person who could be counted on for any help. The reward for those in the lime-light and those who make lime juice for those in the lime-light will be the same, I believe.

Large-hearted Preachers !

One of the co-preachers in a youth camp I preached in, Evangelist Freddy Joseph, promoted The Days mag, with passion and persuasiveness. I thank God for such Kingdom-minded servants of God in the Vineyard. Dr. Sam Kamaleson, the world renowned preacher and founder of FMPB, the great missionary organisation, took time out to repeatedly send me emails that egged me on in what I did for the Lord with a pace that is feverish and a resolve that is tigerish.

A Bundle of Delight Called Datasha

On the family front, there were several blessings which the Lord mercifully added to us this year. Datasha, our daughter arrived on November 12, 2007. She did not have a heart beat when she was in her mother's womb, according to the first gynecologist we met. But the God who calls things that are not there as though they are, gave her heartbeat and health after we prayed and now she gives us so much happiness. Dale Nathan, our four year old son, goes to LKG in St. Andrews, one of the better schools in Hyderabad. My brother, Kingsley Joseph Ragland (called Joe), having been blessed by the Lord with a good corporate job with NCR in Pondy pays Dale's fees. Evan, my wife, managed the home front when I took off for ministry tours - one tour in her ninth month of pregnancy. I thank God for having given me a gutsy wife with a golden heart. The incalculable help and moral support of Daniel-Magdalene, Aunty Alice Mony from Orissa and my mom, Vimala Jeyaraj during the time before and after the arrival of Datasha will never be forgotten by us.

Prophet Who Prick !

Before I put a full stop to our annual report I must talk about the Christmas Season meetings I got to preach in. I have already talked about the Youth Gathering in the AG church at Secunderabad that drew 800 youth on December 22. To a small audience in a Roman Catholic Church Parish (St. Joseph's) in Hyderabad on the December 17 I preached a different type Christmas message titled, Christmas Prophets Who Prick You! On December 16 , I used all the major Christmas characters to challenge the 150 who gathered in the Jesus Calls office at Secunderabad upon the loving invitation of Mr. Bhusnam. I wrote an article in the present issue of The Days titled Ways To Witness This Christmas. When I distributed cakes along with Gospel material to our neighbors and the people we deal with on a regular basis - the CD copying man, the internet centre man, the printer - I was practicing what I wrote about in a small way. My prayer is that after I have preached to others, I should not be disqualified for the prize (I Cor 9:27,28).

Let us pray

Let us pray that in the new year, 2008, many from the Google Generation will be grabbed from Gehenna; let us supplicate that our race to win the FaceBook Youth for Christ will continue without a break; let us stand in the gap in the Lord's presence so that the yahoo youth will yearn for Yahweh's Word; let us intercede that youth who work for companies like Dell and the like will be plundered from Hell.
