“It is going to be just another Sunday Morning Church message I am going to deliver as a guest preacher,” Duke thought. But God had a surprise for him, waiting. Just before he was given the mike in a church he preached in, in the year 2011, the pastor’s daughter, a young woman in her early twenties, took the mike. She said, “When I was in still in Boarding School, Duke anna came to preach there. The year was 2001. He preached a message on beating sexual temptations from the book of Amos. He challenged us students to write in our Bibles, ‘I will wait till marriage to have sex!’ He asked us to swap Bibles have our neighbors sign as witnesses for what we had written. I wanted to be pure in the one life I have to live. So I did what Duke anna asked us to do. After I graduated from that school and went on with life, there were temptations that crossed my path. But I am glad to let you know that I am a virgin today. I am so glad that very same Duke anna is now in my dad’s church to preach God’s Word this Sunday morning!”
What that young lady shared greatly encouraged Duke. It was in fact the ‘the testimony of the year’!

Standing next to a corpse n preaching God’s word from a Smart Phone!
Duke in 2011 stood next to the corpse of the dead father of the one of the young women who is a regular to the meetings at his base and preached a message from Psalm 68. He preached from the ESV Bible which was housed on his smart phone! He had to improvise this way, as he was put in that spot without notice! That message blessed those who gathered.
Many more interesting things like these happened in Duke’s ministry in 2011….
2011 began with Evangelin Duke praying a an anointed prayer before a crowd of 10,000 people on the early hours of 1 January. That prayer made in the New Life AG Church, Hyderabad, the church which Duke and Evan regularly attend if they are not away from Hyderabad on ministry tours, stirred hearts.
Jesus once said those who were in fulltime ministry, The Pharisees, this: “You must have done the former without forsaking the later!” In other words, Jesus was saying that we must have done BOTH. Both the good things! 2011, in many ways, was the year of doing BOTH for Grabbing the Google Generation from Gehenna Mission (G4 Mission – Gehenna is the Greek word Jesus used for hell), the organization that Duke founded in Feb 2006 to use creative ways to win modern youth to Christ – the organization that he and his wife work for fulltime!

DUKE preached to BOTH large crowds as well as small crowds
In Vijayawada, in January, Duke preached to over 5000 in an Open Ground in meetings organised by the Metropolitan Mission. Several people came to Christ following his message, The Cure For All Curses. In Coimbatore, there were 1600 people who gathered in the Bethel IPA youth event that Duke preached in, during 2011. In Bangalore, there were over 1000 young working professionals and college students who gathered in an auditorium to listen to Duke’s Christmas Gospel presentation in 2011.
The 12 Bible Studies (one each, one month) that Duke conducts at his base in Tirumalgiri area in Secunderabad were attended by small groups of people. They hailed from different corporate companies, colleges, and churches. They were of different age groups as well. This year, by God’s grace, Duke completed summarizing 8 more books of the Bible, bringing the total tally to 45 books of the Bible so summarized in over a period of four years via small group home Bible Studies for Google Genners. After completing all the 39 books of the Old Testament, Duke moved to the New Testament, this year and started off with the book of Romans. The message of the Book was put in the name of the book invariably. For example, the message of Philippians was put in the name of the book itself in the Philippians Book Bible Summary study – a study that saw over 25 Google Genners attend. The sinner’s prayer was prayed by repentant sinners after some of the studies. The young people drew one more step closer to God. Their questions were answers as Duke taught the Bible in an interesting and engaging way.
Mid-night month end prayers were also held in the Hyderabad base of G4 Mission this year. The last such prayer, held from 11:30 pm – 12:30 am (30 Nov-1 Dec, 2011) saw 15 people in attendance, including those from GE and Infosys. During these Mid-night month end prayers, Duke shared a promise message from the Bible. Of course, he took time to explain the condition for these promises to be fulfilled. One such message was titled, “What We Need To Do For God To Meet All Our Needs” – a message aptly shared on the financial year closing day – March 31st! It was such a privilege to enter the New Month in God’s presence. In the home of Brother Bhagu and Sister Angela Moorjani, there was one Midnight Month end prayer held – on Feb 28th – when Duke and Evan were away ministering in Singapore.

2011, WHEN Duke ministered in BOTH in a School and in Colleges in 2011
Duke Jeyaraj preached God’s Word to over 800 students in a posh auditorium in SRM College, Chennai, in April 2011. It was for the first time that audi was given for a Christian meeting! Some students, came forward and gave their lives to Christ, following Duke’s Gospel presentation against India’s World Cup Win backdrop. Duke also went on to speak to about 500 students in the Marthoma Residential School, Tiruvalla, Kerala in Feb 2011. The Gospel was shared from Eccl. 12 in a powerful way, following the invitation of the School Principal, Mr. M. M. Mathew. Duke also shared a message from Ezekiel 23 to the senior students of the School. Matters of their heart – sexual sin – was taken up and thrashed out without mincing of words. Decisions that counted for pure living were taken.

Duke ministered to BOTH CORPORATES in Big Cities AND CHURCH BELIEVERS IN Small Towns in 2011
In December 2011, Duke shared a persuasive Gospel message to about 1000 corporate company employees in a College auditorium in Bangalore in an event organized by Synergy. That Dr. Ravi Zacharias would be speaking in the same event in 2012 tells you about much about this type of event. Duke was honored to have been invited to speak in that event. And a day after this event, Duke was in the small town of Hassan, which is five hours drive, preaching in a church of first generation believers, encouraging and challenging them from the Christmas narrative.

Duke ministered BOTH at HOME in Hyderabad and AWAY in other towns/cities in 2011
Duke preached extensively in Hyderabad in 2011. God opened the doors for him to preach in the Lutheran Church – the largest one in Hyderabad – during the Christmas season. When an altar call was given, there was a stunning silence in the church and people came forward and asked Jesus into their lives. Duke preached in an Assemblies of God event following an invitation by Rev. Younus Samuel, in Hyderabad in 2011. Around 250 young people from various backgrounds heard two of Duke’s messages on the city of Sodom in an event titled, “God of the City!” These messages were sharp, arrow-like and it pierced the hearts of youth. One young man talked about the Prayer Cell he started in one of the city colleges following the commitment he made in this regard following Duke’s second message in this event which also saw Bro. Edward Kuntam preaching.
Duke preached in OTHER CITIES such as Vijayawada, Vizakhapatnam (in the East), Madurai, Coimbatore (where young people came forward when he gave an altar call for those repenting from sexual sins!), Chennai, Vellore (including in the AG church he grew up in), Tiruvalla, Nagarcoil, Ooty (Avanlanche) and Bangalore (in the South), Daund, Lonavala (in the West), and in Ahmedabad (in North West), following warm invitations and flight travels. In Coimbatore, 1600 youngsters from all over Tamil Nadu heard him in the Bethel City Cathedral of the IPA Ministries in the month of January. His message from Psalm 78 talking about the day, Ephraim turned back, brought literally hundreds of youth to the altar. These youth were committing their lives for fulltime ministry!

Duke n Evan ministered BOTH in India and Overseas in 2011
Duke and his wife Evan ministered in Singapore in Feb-March 2011 following an invitation from Profit Fellowship. Duke extensively preached in events oorganized by them, as did Evan. The working professionals of Singapore were greatly challenged. “On for God on Your Offs!” was one message that Duke preached during this visit – from the book of Nehemiah. Duke also preached in a leading Tamil Anglican Church in Singapore in the Sunday Morning service. Evan shared a challenging word to the women of this church. The messages they shared were direct and daring. They were interwoven with contemporary illustrations. Duke spoke to the youth of this church on Relationships and Beating Temptations. Youngsters came forward, knelt down and took decisions that would impact them for life. Duke got to preach to a Telugu Fellowship during his Singapore visit. After his message from Ecclesiastes, the altar was full with rows of people committing their lives to Jesus. Duke’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeyaraj, took care of Duke’s children while Duke and his wife were away from India for this ministry.

2011, a year when BOTH Duke and wife Ministered
When Duke got married on July 9, 2001, one of the leaders who prayed for them from the stage prayed that God would use them like Acquila and Priscilla. That prayer had proved prophetic. It was not just Duke who did the preaching in 2011. His wife, Evan, also joined Duke in the pulpit ministry. She preached as many messages as Duke almost in the Assemblies of God youth camp in Daund which had 400 youth from Maharashtra and Gujarat in total attendance in the month of May. Her practical messages on relationships, living holy, Holy Spirit, melted hearts and molded lives. Back home, she was invited by Pearl City Church, the largest English church in the Hyderabad side of the Twin Cities, to preach on Women’s Sunday in the month of March. Her message from the book of Job was challenging for all who came – not just the women. In 2011, there were number of young people who called her up, fixed an appointment, received her Biblically sound practical counsels and left with a clear mind. Matters she helped youth thrash out included intimate stuff – masturbation, porn-watching, physical intimacy with the opposite sex, etc, etc.

2011, A YEAR IN WHICH we received BOTH MATERIAL AND SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS!
2011, was an year in which we received from the Lord both material as well spiritual blessings.
In 2011, God gave Duke and his family a Hyundai I10 car! They have been praying for one, for many years! Evan’s grandmother, Edith Mary, a retired teacher living in a village in Tamil Nadu, fully paid for this gift. And she told Duke and Evan that she felt in the spirit that she must give us this gift because we are both doing the Lord’s Work fulltime.
In 2011, God gave Duke an IPAD through a well-wisher who does not want to be named. It proved to be an invaluable tool for Duke’s writing and preaching ministry. “Since you (Duke) are the only preacher I know who writes a lot, travels extensively and talks to hitec crowd and youth, my wife and I thought the IPAD would be very useful in the ministry. Hope you like it!” – this was the text of the sms that Duke received from this dear donor friend after the IPAD reached his home. The sms was as encouraging to Duke as the gift of the IPAD!
In 2011, Duke could spend two full weeks in a half-day fasting prayer (in May and in November). These times of prayer revived the spirits of Duke and Evan and refreshed them immensely. They proved to be a good time for self-introspection. They listened to the messages of anointed men of God to learn God’s ways from a different perspective. Dr. Billy Graham, Bro. Ezekiah Francis, Bro. Freddy Joseph – they listened to messages preached by these men of God via DVD, during these times of fasting. Apart from these weeklong fasts, weekly half-day-fasting prayers on Tuesday and on Thursday are the norm, for Duke and Evan. You will find their phones switched off during this time, invariably.

2011, a year in which Duke preached BOTH on TV and the Radio
In 2011, Duke’s messages were telecast by Heaven TV in the Kanyakumari Area of Tamil Nadu via cable TV. Duke went to their studio and recorded messages in January 2011. Joy Stephen, an IBM-er who lives in Chennai, came to interpret for Duke in Tamil during that day. Duke’s Tamil is not as persuasive as his English and still prefers to preach in English even when preaching to Tamil audiences!
In 2011, God opened the door for Duke to speak in All India Radio through Pastor Valson, the local church pastor of the Assemblies of Church that Duke and wife attend. Duke’s message on honesty recorded in the studios of All India Radio, weaved the Gospel into contemporary events (such as Sangakkarra walking back to the pavilion before the umpire gave him out in IPL 2011 edition of the bowling of Rahul Sharma).

2011, a year in which Duke travelled BOTH by LAND AND AIR TO PREACH GOD’S WORD
With increasing ministry commitments, Duke is able to take up preaching assignments in cities far away from Hyderabad only if the organizers would be willing to fly him in and fly him out. This arrangement also helps him to reduce the time away from his young family. In this connection, Duke landed in Madurai airport for the first time in his life and preached God’s Word to the youth of the Good Samaritan Fellowship. The Lord moved mightily during each of the three electrifying messages that Duke preached from the book of Ezekiel on September 1, 2011. Duke also landed the Ahmedabad airport for the first time to preach God’s Word in the town of Nadiad, in Gujarat. The Methodist Church youth had organised this event which saw young people come to Christ following Duke’s messages to them from the book of Galatians, in August 2011. On the way back, when Duke was travelling by road, God saved him from what could have been a very fatal accident. After finishing his week-long doctoral program classes in Southern Asia Bible College, Bangalore, Duke went to Bangalore Airport to catch a flight to Chennai to preach God’s Word in the Corporate Fellowship of Wipro in a beach-side setting in October 2011. God blessed the Gospel message he preached to them from the life of Steve Jobs, the late Apple CEO. Duke spent time answering questions for about 40 minutes on topics ranging from finding God’s will to evangelism to Islamic friends in this meeting. Duke and Evan ministered God’s Word in the Gateway Ministries International Navi Mumbai churches in October 2011. The organizers were kind enough to fly the entire family of Duke for this Family camp.

2011, THE YEAR WHEN BOTH MOVIE ACTORS GIVEN TRACTS IN AIRPORTS BY DUKE!
While travelling by Air, what a joy it was for Duke to hand over Gospel tracts written for the Google Generation which was republished after considerable updation and cool page layout work by Ravi Alamothu titled, “Bubbly Outside Yet Empty Inside!” to interested co-passengers. While in the Cochin airport in Feb 2011, Duke had the joy of giving the Bible and the Bubbly to a well-known Kannada actor. And when in the Hyderabad airport, Duke gave the same tract to popular Tamil actor Nasser! The cabin crew, the boarding pass issuing airline staff were also given this Gospel tract that presented the message wrapped around contemporary events involving Michael Schumacher, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwariya Rai, Halle Berry, etc, using the John 10:10 approach of evangelism. Duke also walked up and down the entire length of the Kerala Express, the train he travelled on after having preached in a youth camp in Avalanche, Ooty, Tamil Nadu, giving out the Bubbly tract. We had orders for this tract in 2011 from Orissa and Delhi where it was given in events where friends without Jesus present. 2011, a year in which there were TEARS, BOTH in the eyes of PARENTS AND THE YOUTH We ministered to
When Duke and his wife Evan end their messages, they invariably invite those in the audience to come forward to make commitments for various holy causes. In the Daund AG Youth Camp in Maharashtra the move of God was so awesome during the altar call time. Tears of repentance were seen even as altar calls for salvation, Holy Spirit Baptism, fulltime ministry was given. In another camp, where Duke and Evan preached, something even more remarkable happened. The parents of the young people who gave their lives for fulltime ministry were in tears (of joy). “I am so glad that my child has obeyed God’s call and committed for ministry!” a couple of teary-eyed parents told Duke after he preached a rousing mission challenge from the book of Ezekiel in the Family Camp of the Gateway Ministries International Navi Mumbai Family camp in Lonavala.

2011, a year in which we BLESSED BOTH singles and the married
This year in various camps – in Singapore, in Daund, in Lonavala – there were times when Evan spoke to the singles in the meeting, telling them how to wisely choose their life partner, while Duke simultaneously taught the married (for whom it was too late to learn how to choose their life partners!) about how to live happily with their spouses. These message blessed and greatly benefitted both groups. What Duke generally shares with married couples appeared as the lead article for Issue 27 of G4 Mission’s magazine which was titled, The Wedding Knot For What: Discovering the God-intended purposes for each marriage. The wives in the audience were especially appreciative of this message! Speaking in a wedding reception in the grounds of the CSI Headquarters’ church, The St. George’s Cathedral in Chennai at Cathedral road, in July 2011, Duke brought a brief message which just lasted minutes titled, “When Jesus enters your home!” not only for the newlywed couple but also for the thousands who gathered for the wedding.

2011, a year in which we BOTH produced DVD MESSAGES AND UPLOADED MESSAGE CLIPS ON YOUTUBE.
2011 was the year in which produced several new DVDs featuring the messages of Duke. The two messages that Duke preached in New Life AG Church, Hyderabad, on the theme of “Sodom” went into a DVD, the cover for which was designed by Theoson Kanagaraj, our ministry volunteer. The messages that Duke preached in Singapore, this year, went into two DVDs, the cover for which were designed by Ruby Evangel and Joel Joseph – two more of our faithful and skillful volunteers. We also split up some of the messages available on DVD and posted them on the popular video sharing site, Youtube.com. One such upload was “When Shcumi Drove A Taxi….”. Another was “Can I Drink just a little…?”, Yet another one was, “Are you a Spectator or a Soldier?”, etc. We thank God that these videos have a steady stream of hits by youtube watchers all over the World. At the point of writing, we have seen 50,000 hits for the 50 youtube message clips of Duke available at www.youtube.com/visitduke on hot topics we have little Bible teaching on questions like, “Is is okay to masturbate and watch porn?”

2011, a year in which DUKE COULD BOTH STUDY AND PREACH
Yes, Duke did preach a lot in the 2011. The above paragraphs bear witness to this. But he also take time out to study. Duke is presently doing a course which will lead to a doctoral degree in ministry at Southern Asia Bible College, Bangalore. Three times in 2011, he was at this college from a Monday to Friday studying along with his ‘cohort’ which included a denominational head, city pastors, care giver to those rescued from the Red Light areas. He took time out to finish some of the assignments. The article on the blessings that the Holy Spirit brings into the life of the Google Generation published in the Issue 27 of the magazine, The Days Of Your Youth, is actually one of the assignments of Duke written for this doctoral course. Thanks to a dear donor – Duke is able to do this course. God willing, he will finish this by March 2014.

2011, a year in which Duke could BOTH PREACH AND WRITE
Writing for the Lord remains Duke’s primary call. He had to say no to invitations to preach even in 2011 so that he could spend time writing. The Light of Life magazine, a leading Christian magazine going to about 20,000 subscribers, published his articles on hot issues almost every month in 2011. Indian Missions, the voice of the national federation of missions in India published Duke’s article on evangelizing the Google Generation in one of their issues in 2011. Duke also gave permission to websites like www.2miles.org and www.yourchoice.in. G4 Mission was able to release four different issues of the magazine that wraps Bible Truth around contemporary events, The Days of Your Youth, in print.
Eugene Pandian, Duke’s contemporary in Agricultural Institute, Allahabad, now living in Bangalore, voluntarily came forward in the year 2011 to buy a website and design it for G4 Mission. That website is www.GoogleGeneration.in. It will serve as an all-in-one place reservoir for Duke’s Bible resources for the Google Generation.
Duke’s book with essays on what the Bible teaches on sex, love, marriage and more, STRAIGHT TALK, published last year with help of another of college friend, Bobby Leonard, was distributed in 2011. In the church service that Duke preached in Vizag, all the 20 copies of the book that Duke carried there were sold. All the 40 copies of this book which Duke carried to Singapore were sold. Ruby and Danny, a Chennai based Engineer couple, who first met Duke when they were still in college, now help distribute this book in Chennai. 2011, a year in which BOTH Duke and the Ministry Volunteers teamed up
2011 was a year in which Duke worked hard, writing early in the morning, late at night. But his work of getting the Gospel to the Google Generation was made simpler and far easier with the help of volunteers.

This team played its part, working long and hard, to get the work done.

2011- The Year that Duke used BOTH FACEBOOK & TWITTER TO POST UPDATES AND MINISTRY NEWS
2011 was the year in which Duke used both Facebook & Twitter to post ministry updates, devotional thoughts, etc. This way, prayer support was raised for the work of the Gospel among the Google Generation. This way, close to 4000 FaceBook friends of his were edified. Not only that. Duke’s latest articles, articles that wrap Bible truth around contemporary events, were posted as notes in FaceBook. 2011’s Duke’s hit Facebook note answered the question, “Can a older believer girl marry a believer boy much younger to her?” Duke ran an event which encouraged Facebook users all over the world to read through the entire Bible in 2011. Over 200 plus people signed up for this event. Testimonies like, “For the first ever time I could finish reading all of the Bible – thanks to the accountability this event ushered in!” poured in. Duke actively used Facebook to invite people for the Bible Studies and Midnight Monthend meetings at his base. His volunteers were given permission to enter his account and send invites to Hyderabadis who were friends of Duke on Facebook. Facebook also housed the CD Cover images of Duke’s messages in various categories like Direct English Messages, English to Hindi Messages, English to Tamil Messages, English to Malayalam Messages, English to Telugu Messages, etc. In 2011 we began work to bring out our first English to Marathi DVD messages. T he Google Generation speaking all languages must have resources to grow in and glow for Christ! The website, www.way2sms.com was also used by G4 Mission to send updates about Duke’s ministry in coordination with one volunteer.

2011 – The Year in which we used BOTH GMAIL & CONSTANT CONTACT to send mass emails
For most part of 2011, Duke used his multiple gmail ids (emailduke, catchduke, visitduke, postduke, dukejeyaraj, dukejg, donkeyofjesus, etc) to send emails on the same day to 2000 plus folk who had entrusted their email ids to him, to send mass emails with articles, ministry news, event invites etc. But at the year end, God met an important ministry need through Duke’s friend Bobby Leonard. Bobby bought a constantcontact.com account for Duke to use. Through this account, Duke was able to send colorfully created mass emails with greater professionalism at one go. What was more, through this arrangement, Duke is now able to view, who opens his mass mails and who doesn’t and thereby manage his contacts better!

2011 – The Year in which Duke BOTH made flying visits and had long counseling conversations
2011, was the year in which Duke made flying visits to places. He would fly into a city, preach God’s Word without holding anything back, and take the first flight back to Hyderabad. There was hardly time for mentoring during such visits. But, at the same time, as the Lord lead him to, Duke made time for relationships where mentoring was part and parcel of the larger goal of interaction. In 2011, he was present, to evaluate and give inputs into the preaching styles-content of about 10 laypeople active in church work, who are doing their extension M. Div. course via Southern Asia Bible College at New Life AG Church, Hyderabad. Some Young people were often at Duke’s base spending long hours of fellowship with him and his wife – these hours were used to mentor, counsel, build and share life experiences. Duke dreams about mentoring many preachers n writers would make the Google Generation go gaga over God’s Word, in a greater measure than he was ever able to in his life. In the years to come, if the Lord would enable him to, he would be happy to start a Google Generation Gospel Communication School (or something like that!) which offers short term training on this very thing.

2011 – The Year in which Duke n Evan heard testimonies of God’s blessing following their preaching from BOTH ORGANISERS AND THE AUDIENCE!
2011, was a year in which Duke received testimonies saying “I was blessed” from both the organizers and the audience who heard him.
Here is one testimony found below from one of the audiences of Duke’s message during his Singapore Ministry trip 2011:

After a week of packed schedule of meetings with Bro. Duke, I was urged in my spirit to write a note to you. I believe that whoever attended the meetings were truly blessed. Though I attended only few sessions the amount of impact the sessions had on me was tremendous . In the first place, I was wondering why we have to have these week-long meetings. But my mind changed when I attended the PROFIT Thursday fellowship session in which Duke outlined the message of book of Nehemiah using the acronym N-E-H-E-M-I-A-H. It was awesome. The climax came in the camp. Oh what a time we had, especially the last two sessions when Bro. Duke was recapped all the Pillar Points, he and his wife made. God spoke to me and made the whole purpose of the event very clear to me. I am so much encouraged by the fact that GOD is taking our Fellowship into a new Level and giving us newer dimensions. I know how we started very small in Cuff Road (in Singapore). Sometimes 10 would attend, sometimes it was just 2 people! But I was so overjoyed to see over 50 professionals attend the camp. As I was speaking to Bro.Duke personally about his ministry, he mentioned one thing which put so much burden on me and rekindled the fire in me. This is what he said: “Though I am speaking and ministering to many professionals, my access to them has now been limited , for I am no more a corporate company employee. But you have the access card to your company – something I don’t have. I cannot enter the premises of your company to conduct a spiritual meeting or to witness for Christ. But where no fulltime preacher like me can go, God has given you access to go! Use this opportunity!" Oh, my God! What a thunderbolt! 2011 – The Year that Duke n Evan ministered with BOTH freedom and with accountability
2011 was the year in which Duke and Evan ministered with freedom as independent revival preachers/evangelists/writers at large and served the Body of Christ without any denominational or organizational bias. But there was accountability too. Duke and Evan are accountable to a board full of godly, wise, people. Duke, in the board meeting held in Chennai, reported that the offerings received for the year 2010-2011 financial year cross 8 lakhs (Rs.8,00,000) for the first time while submitting the financial year report and accounts. The presence of Mr. Y. Silver Ramesh, a former State Bank of India officer who has represented the Bank in the US, now the owner and CEO of a non-voice BPO in Arakonam, in the board is a boon and a blessing for Duke and Evan. He was there present for the board meeting of G4 Mission. Duke’s dad, Mr. A. Jeyaraj, had these accounts audited by a non-Christian auditor and submitted them to the Government. The Government issued an acknowledgement upon seeing the accounts. The offerings for G4 Mission in the year 2010-11 came from Indians who believed in the vision of G4 Mission and those who were blessed by the ministry of Duke and Evan. The only two non-Indian donors was a Bangladeshi Christian leader who blessed Duke after Duke preached in Bangladesh and a Cameroonian student who is a regular to Duke’s bible study. All the rest of the offerings came from Indians! Offerings came via money orders to the tune of Rs.200 and online transfers into Duke’s/G4 Mission’s bank account to the tune of thousands. God is good! Every bill was paid. Both Duke-Evan and the G4 Mission are debt-free till date.
We inducted into our board, two more new people in 2011. One is Franklin Eden, a young engineer – someone who is one of the few to visit the first ever office of G4 Mission in Ashok Colony, Hyderabad. And Mr. Solbrekken Selvam, a physio who was one of the earliest to suggest that Duke start his own ministry where writing would be a main focus.

2011 – a year IN which we BOTH played and preached
2011 was not all about preaching. It was not all about ministry. It was about fun too. It was about family time too. Duke and his family went on a holiday to a town in Orissa from Hyderabad in 2011. They were hosted by the dear family of Uncle Moni -Aunty Alice and their daughter, Dr. Suja. They drove in jungles in thick darkness. They bathed in a water fall. And most importantly, Duke did not preach a single message during those 7 days. It was pure family time. Also, during 2011, the Duke family had inter-family Angry Birds (Rio Version) championships on their gifted IPAD. It was a time of great joy! Scotty-Mamta joined the Duke family in 2011 when they watched India win the Cricket World Cup quarterfinal, semifinal and final on TV. Apart from producing roars of sheer joy, this, helped Duke discover many more cricket based sermon illustrations which he used in many of his 2011 messages! In Singapore, where Evan n Duke ministered in Feb-March 2011, Dr. Jemima Samson and her husband, Mr. Samson (who works for World Vision) took them out to see Sentosa Island and many "sight for sore eyes!" sights. It was an experience of a life time!

Duke Jeyaraj was invited by Rev. Younus Samuel and Bro. Milton to speak in the Youth Alive event of the New Life AG Church called, 'God of the City' in Hyderabad. Duke preached two conscience-awakening, concise, captivating, messages in this day-long event on August 13th, 2011, for which Brother Edward Kuntam was the other speaker. The first message was titled, 'REPENT, LEST YOU BE SWEPT ALONG WITH SODOM' (a salvation call that saw 30 youth come forward). The second message was titled, 'STAYING AS SALT IN YOUR SODOM' (after this message, youth from various colleges came forward vowing to start Prayer Cells in their colleges). On August 15th, some young people who belonged to the Methodist Church of Nadiad, Gujarat, all keen readers of this magazine, invited Duke to speak in the day-long youth retreat in a church that was well over 100 years old. Duke preached 3 terrific messages from the book of Galatians on telling topics such as Salvation, Sexual Purity and Soul-winning. Stressing the urgency of coming to Christ in the one life one had, Duke thundered the name of the movie, ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA ("You will not have this life to live again!") for the day of judgement is coming soon and there will be no chance of salvation then! A brief May 2011 Ministry Report

Osama Bin Laden was killed by the US forces on May 1, 2011 following a surprise attack. Duke Jeyaraj took this gripping contemporary event and wrapped it around the story of the Rich Fool found in Luke 12 and preached it to various audiences he got to speak to in the month of May. He did that when he preached in the Sunday Morning service of the Assembly of God church lead by Rev. S. A. Sundarraj in Vellore. He also did that in the Duand Emmanuel Assemblies of God Youth Camp where young people from Maharashtra and Gujarat were present in one of the 5 piercing messages he preached. Duke's wife, Evan, also had a story about Osama's wife which she connected to a spiritual truth in her message about staying pure in the same camp. She also preached 3 other very practical, powerful, messages. Tears of repentance and joy in the Holy Spirit, marked the times the youngsters spent at the altar. It was indeed a joy to see young people saved, filled with the Spirit, vow to live holy, and commit for ministry in this truly wonderful youth camp for which Rev. Nana Dhar and his son, Pastor Steven Dar had lovingly invited Duke and his wife to minister. Duke shared God's Word, a word of encouragement and edification, in the church lead by Rev. Austin Carter Jones and his wife, Pastor Jothi, in Chennai, full of corporate professionals and college students, on the last Sunday of the month of May. After having finished summarizing all the 39 books of the Old Testament via small group Bible Studies, Duke crossed over to the New Testament and lead a practical summary study of the book of Romans in his Hyderabad Base one Sunday evening which revived a small group of Google Genners.

A brief April 2011 Ministry Report

India became the first country in the World to win the Cricket World Cup on home soil in April 2011. It was a deeply emotional and an unforgettable moment for millions of Indians. Following Jesus' example in Luke 13:1-5 of wrapping spiritual truths around contemporary events, Duke Jeyaraj, shared Bible Truths from India's World Cup with the following groups in the month of April: (a) a small group of working professionals (from Dell, GE, Deloitte, Google, etc) in his Hyderabad base (April 3rd), (b) 800 students of SRM College, Chennai, (c) the Sunday morning service of the Zion Pentecostal Church, Vellore, lead by Pastor Immanuel Paul (April 11th) and (d) in the Sunday evening service of the Apostolic Fellowship Tabernacle, Vellore, lead by Pastor Collin D'Cruz (April 11th). The hearers were greatly challenged and immensely blessed. Some non-believers and backsliders came back to the Lord. The church pastors deeply appreciated the Word preached. What Duke shared was converted into a DVD with Joel Joseph drafting the cover design. On March 31st and on April 30th, Duke lead a month-end mid-night prayer meeting in his Hyderabad base. A small group from various backgrounds entered the new month in God's presence. Duke encouraged those who came with a short, stirring message from the Bible. The title of one message was "What We Need To For God To Meet All Our Needs" (from Philippians 4).

A brief July 2011 report

Duke Jeyaraj on the first Sunday evening of July 2011 lead a Bible Study summarizing the entire message of the book of 2 Corinthians for a diverse group of Google Generation youth from seven different churches at his rented base in Hyderabad. While talking about the 'pure bride' that Christ will come again to take up, in this study, he referred to Prince William and Kate Middleton.The hearers were challenged by a balanced, bold, blunt, beautifully-crafted study (Duke saw it fit to put the message of 2 Corinthians was put in the format 'S-a-u-l P-a-u-l' as it was the most personal letter that Paul ever wrote). At the end of the same month, there was a month-end mid-night prayer at Duke's the same venue for which a small group that included folks from different nations, churches and corporate companies, drove long distances to participate in. Theoson Kanagaraj, our volunteer studying in England, designed the invite for this rare event. After Susan Luth, a young woman working in GE, lead in worship, Duke shared the word from Isaiah chapter 54. It was certainly a joyous time for those who came to enter the new month in God's very presence! Duke was also invited by two magazines - the Indian Missions magazine and theIndia Church Growth Quarterly magazine - to write for them in this month. And Duke obliged them. Writing remains one of Duke's primary calls. Duke's article published in the Light of Life magazine in July 2011 was interestingly titled as "Kate, Prince William, Living-In, and the Bible." Gleaning out Bible Truths from contemporary events and presenting them creatively for the Google Generation, is one of the main goals of the Grabbing the Google Generation from Gehenna Mission (G4 Mission), the ministry to modern youth that Duke founded in 2006.

A brief June 2011 Ministry Report

Duke was invited by Mr. Paul Aravamuthan, the founder-leader of the J Team Ministry to speak in a youth adventure camp that was held in the lakeside campsite of Scripture Union at Avalanche, perched atop a range of hills in Tamil Nadu during the first week of June 2011. Duke preached to a group of youngsters among them were a college professor, a medical doctor, a corporate professional and a professional photographer. Most of these youth attended the St. Georges Cathedral - the headquarters' church for the CSI in Chennai. Duke's direct and daring messages in this camp stressed the need to have a personal relationship with Jesus, to regularly meditate on the Bible, to be sexually pure, to witness for Christ, etc, greatly challenged this group. Holy decisions were made. "I want to be a missionary!" was one of the them. Duke also took part in various adventure sports along with the youth as part of this camp!

In the monthly Bible study that took place at his base in Hyderabad on 5 June 2011, Duke summarized the message of the book of I Corinthians using the very name of the book as an outline. He referred to actor Shah Rukh Khan's statement in a section of his message that called for a break from smoking and boozing. For an entire working week during June 2011, Duke was in Southern Asia Bible College, Bangalore, studying a course on Kingdom Leadership taught by three different teachers, including Dr. John Higgins, the respected Assemblies of God leader from whom he received the M. Div. degree Gold Medal 10 years ago. Upon finishing this course, Duke will have his Doctor of Ministry degree.

GREAT RESPONSE FOR ALTAR CALLS GIVEN FOR BOTH SEXUAL PURITY AND FULLTIME MINISTRY!

On January 26, 2010, Duke Jeyaraj, preached in the Bethel City Cathedral, a leading church in the city of Coimbatore upon the invitation of Rev. Terry Pragasam. 1600 young people from various parts of the city and the state of Tamil Nadu showed up, despite having the option of attending other events in the city featuring leading speakers. In his first message, Duke called for sexual purity by preaching a message on this not-often-openly-talked-about subject, from the Bible, using presentday illustrations, without beating about the bush. Surprisingly, when Duke, moved by the Spirit, called those who were repenting from sexual sin to come forward after this talk, there were rows of young men and women, who came forward! A powerful time of commitment followed. Just before lunch, Duke preached yet another message. The Bible text he chose was from Psalm 78. Starting with a story from George Bush Jr.'s autobiography, He went on to talk about Ephraim who turned back on the day of battle. In this very practical message, he outlined ways to overcome temptation without turning back. And as the Spirit lead him to do so, Duke finished with a energetic ministry involvement challenge. When the clarion call for ministry involvement (presently, whereever one was) and fulltime ministry (down the line) was given, over 70 per cent of the audience responded! The move of God was unmistakable in that meeting which also featured the message and music of Bro. Isaac Joe! After this meeting, Duke was invited to the studio of Bethel City Cathedral to be featured in an interview on what the Bible Teaches on hot youth issues.While travelling to the city of Coimbatore by air, Duke took the opportunity to pass out his Gospel tract, "Bubbly Outside, Yet Empty Inside!" to some of the airline staff. Preaching is just one way to be a witness for Jesus, is it not?

After a week of packed schedule of meetings with Bro. Duke, I was urged in my spirit to write a note to you. I believe that whoever attended the meetings were truly blessed. Though I attended only few sessions the amount of impact the sessions had on me was tremendous . In the first place, I was wondering why we have to have these week-long meetings. REACHING THE GOOGLE GENERATION IN SCHOOLS AS WELL AS COLLEGES!

Duke Jeyaraj was invited to speak in the Marthoma Residential School in Tiruvalla, Kerala, by the Principal of the School, Mr. M. M. Mathew on 28th January, 2011. Duke shared God's Word in the assembly of this school, with both the students and the faculty present. He spoke from "befores" found in the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 12. He lead in the sinner's prayer after that penetrating message. After the assembly, Duke spoke just to the senior students from Ezekiel 23, the chapter with the story of two wayward sisters. He pointed out how these two sisters were like presentday youth and merged his presentation with the Gospel. There were teens in that group who drew closer to the Lord Jesus after Duke's frank talk. All of them were given a free copy of this magazine. Some of them were looking at Duke's book, STRAIGHT TALK, very keenly.

Duke was also invited by the prayer fellowship of the SRM College in Chennai (a bunch who were spiritually shepherded by Pastor Chadwick Mohan) to speak in a meeting hosted in a large auditorium right inside their campus on 7th April 2011. SRM is India's largest multi-stream private university. About 800 students gathered. Many there were in a meeting like that for a very first time. Speaking to a boisterous group of college students can be a challenging task. But God gave extra grace to Duke to carry this out well. Duke weaved the Gospel around magic moments of the Cricket World Cup 2011 and called for the students who wanted to give their lives to Christ to come forward in an attitude of repentence. Around 50 came forward. There was a holy hush in that swank auditorium. And these folk who came forward were lead in the sinner's prayer. Earlier that day, musician Stephen Devassy, the NLAG-Chennai Worship Band, the SRM Prayer Fellowship Worship Band also performed. The pictures of the second row were shot by Pranta Nath, a skillful photographer and one of the students of SRM College.

Duke Jeyaraj was invited by Rev. Dr. B. Ebenezer, the director of Metropolitan Mission, to preach God's Word on the 13 January 2011 in Bishop Azariah Grounds in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Around 5000 people gathered in that meeting. In the audience were young people and old people. People from villages and people from the towns - both folk were there. Duke preached on the subject of curses. He explained from the Bible the reason why curses come, starting with the story of how South African Cricket Team's apparently 'cursed' performances in the World Cups. He established the connection between sin and curse and preached boldly on sin. He later went to the Cross of Christ, where the solution for the curse problem was permently solved and gave a gripping account of the sufferings of Christ on the Cross. He called for those in the audience to come forward - those who were willing to repent from sin and trust in Jesus as their savior. Hundreds responded. Some were in tears as the conviction of the Holy Spirit was heavy upon the audience in that open ground. Duke lead them in the sinner's prayer. After which Duke talked about four essentials of the Christian life - prayer, Bible-reading, witnessing and fellowship. After Duke preached the message, some pastors walked up to him to appreciate him for the bold message he had preached to bless thousands.

PUNE YOUTH CAMP - A BLESSING TO 200 YOUTH FROM 18 TOWNS

My wife and I travelled to Pune upon the invitation of my Pas. Steven Dar to preach in the Emmanuel AG Youth Camp at Daund (May 16-20, 2011). Pas. Steven was my student when I briefly taught in the Central Bible College in New Delhi (2001). I was so happy to see how the Lord had raised him up to a key leadership role in this church of over 1000 people. 200 young people from 18 towns in Maharashtra and Gujarat gathered for this camp. The Lord moved mightily.

On the opening night, I preached a message that began with Dhoni's heroics in the World Cup Final 2011. This message went to talk to about what Jesus endured the last 12 hours of his earthly life and a graphic, frank description of the sins of the youth (sexual sins included) he bore on his body, the altar was crowded with youth surrendering their lives once again to the Lord. Some were fighting back the tears.
The next day, my more or less my wife's day. She preached three messages that moved the audience. On relationships. On wisely choosing one's life partner. On overcoming temptations. The young people made decisions that were very important. Decisions like, "I will not fall in love with or marry an unbeliever", "I would be willing to shed my blood to overcome temptation and live a holy life!", "I am willing to bring into my life a Nathan-life friend to whom I will be accountable." etc. I, on the other hand, preached to a bunch of pastors who had come along with the youth - about 20 of them. I taught them why God created marriage. At the end of the message, some of pastor's wives in that meeting profusely thanked me for preaching that practical message.

On Day Three of this meeting, after a message by Evan my wife on the Holy Spirit we prayed for the Holy Spirit Baptism to come upon the youth. There were young people who praised God in strange new languages after having received the Holy Spirit Baptism. Just before lunch, I preached a message on Why the Bible is such a great book and how one should read it starting with a Chris Gayle IPL IV story. Young people dedicated their lives to the daily study of the Word, following this message.

In the same night, I came up with 'the message of the camp' - a ministry challenge message from the book of Amos. Amos remains my most favorite book in the Bible! After this message, a major chunk of the youth committed their lives for full-time ministry down the line and ministry-involved presently. It was a 'wet' altar call. Members of the video recording team remarked, "We have recorded sermons galore. By what we just recorded is one of a kind!"

On the Final Day morning, I preached the final message on how the young people could be practically witnessing for Jesus right in the places they hailed from: via Kneeling (intercession for the lost); via Walking (like Christ); via Speaking (like Andrew, like Paul in Athens); via Healing; via Working (in a secular company); via Travelling (as a missionary to an unchurched place)! I also answered this question: "What if I sin after the Camp gets over?" A powerful time at the altar followed. Rev. Nana Dhar, the senior pastor of this church interpreted into Marathi few of the messages while his son, Pastor Steven, did the same for some of the messages. One other message was interpreted into Hindi by a pastor serving in Kashmir.

We had opportunity to counsel youth, one on one. They bared their hearts to us. "These are things we would never share with anyone else," they would say and open their lives to us. We gave them counsels from God's Word in a practical way and prayed for them. One reason, why this happens almost every youth camp we preach in, is that we openly talk about issues youth struggle in, openly, from the light of God's Word - issues like masturbation, issues like porn-watching in secret, issues like boy-girl physical intimacy, etc.

We had an encouraging ministry resource sale at this camp - 20 copies of my book, NO BEATING ABOUT THE BUSH STRAIGHT TALK ON HUSHED UP MATTERS, were sold, as were message CDs, magazines, gospel tracts.

During our flight journies to Pune from Hyderabad we could give out Gospel tracts (Bubbly Outside, Yet Empty Inside? - Duke) to the air hostesses, the boarding pass issueing staff, etc. Preaching remains just one way in which we can bring people closer to the Lord!
Eggle, Rev. Dar's third son, along with his wife, Shweta, took us around Pune for shopping, before driving us to the airport. By God's grace, I have now, as God opened the way, landed in airports such Chennai, Mumbai, Coimbatore, Kolkota, Delhi, and Pune, from Hyderabad to preach God's Word in those respective towns. That's one reason why we prefer to stay in Hyderabad - India's most centrally located big city. From this city we can fly to any big Indian city in a matter of three hours, preach God's Word to the Google Generation, and get back.
When my wife and I landed in Chennai from Pune in the wee hours of the early morning of 21st May, Daniel Pravin was there to pick up from the airport and drive us to his home near Tambaram. Daniel and his wife Ruby were students in Adiaman college of Engineering in Hosur when I had the opportunity to preach to the fellowship they lead in their college while I was a student of Southern Asia Bible College, Bangalore, then. We are grateful to God for people like them who make our ministry travels, a lot easier.

Our children were with my parents and my parents-in-law in Vellore for most past this summer vacation. Their grand parents looked after them and so we both could go for preaching in youth camps together. We praise God for their cooperation.

IN THE LAND OF MERLION TALKING ABOUT THE LION OF JUDAH

Singapore is the land of Merlion. Duke Jeyaraj and Evanelin Duke recently ministered there.

The Lord opened the door for Duke and Evan to preach in the country of Singapore in Feb-Mar 2011.

They were invited by PROFIT Fellowship - a fellowship of professionals who gather under the banner of GEMS ministry, all working in Singapore.

They preached in different events organised by Profit and also in two different churches during their two week stay.

Duke spoke in a young professionals meet of Profit in which about 50 young professionals gathered.

Duke used the story of the two wayward sisters found in Ezekiel 23 and preached a Gospel message to them.

Some young people came to Christ following the meeting.

Duke preached to a group of GEMS supporters in the GEMS Missions Centre in Singapore. A group of about 30 gathered.

Duke spoke to them from the life of Daniel and challenged them to be Daniels in their place of work. Placing their hands in their heart, they vowed to be Daniels.

Duke spoke to the senior professionals involved with Profit in yet another meeting. Duke spoke to them from the life of Nehemiah. They were touched by that thought - provoking message.

Evangelin Duke address about 15 home-makers of Singapore in a Profit event on how to do ministry even though you stayed at home. This talk was extremely practical.

Duke and Evan spent two days ministering in the Christ Church, Singapore.

Duke spoke to the teens, twenties and parents in a Saturday meeting. He spoke on the subject of Relationships. Relationships between parents-children, boys-girls, friends, and younsters-older folk. The Lord blessed the message and Duke spent time answering questions from the young people and their parents.

The next day, Duke preached in the Sunday service of the Christ Church. He challenged the Church for the ministry of intercession.

After the service, Duke spoke to the teens of the church on overcoming temptations using an outline that involved 5 Bs. The teens came forward, knelt down and committed their lives for holy living.

During the same time, Evan, Duke's wife spoke to about 30 women of this church on the task of witnessing in a very practical way.

Duke, later spoke in the church lead by Pastor Jacob for Telugu workers in Singapore.

Duke preached a message from the book of Ecclesiastes - a Gospel message. The Lord blessed that message which the pastor interpreted into Telugu. At the end of the message, 20 young boys came forward and gave their lives to Christ.

In the first weekend of March 2011, in a beachside bungalow in Singapore, Duke-Evan spoke to a crowd that gradually swelled to 50. It was a Profit Family Camp Meeting.

People were immensely blessed. After Evan's sessions, people had encounters with the Holy Spirit.After Duke's message on Evangelism, the campers were divided into groups and they enacted skits using what they learnt. After the final message of Duke a vast majority of the campers dedicated their time, talents, treasures to do God's Work through Profit ministries.

About 100 message CDS of Duke-Evan and 40 plus books of Duke on what the Bible teaches about hot topics such as sex, love, marriage and more (STRAIGHT TALK) were sold during these meetings.

Duke's magazine, The Days of Your Youth, was given free to those who asked for it (about 100 mags).

This was the fifth country that Duke preached in after India, Germany, Nepal, Bangladesh.

EXPLAINING TO MODERN YOUTH THROUGH A BIBLE STUDY, THE HABITS OF JESUS, THE ANCIENT OF DAYS!

In the month of November, on the 7th, the book of Leviticus was practically summarized by Duke in a meeting held at his base in Kanajiguda, Secunderabad. The very name of that book was used as a short-form for its message. 7th November is also Billy Graham’s birthday. Therefore, Duke also shared on the topic, “What Makes Billy Graham So Special!” on that day. The young working professionals from different companies and churches were encouraged and challenged. In the month of January, on the first Sunday evening, there was another meeting at Duke’s base for a life-transforming study on the Habits of Jesus. On the 31st October, between 11 pm to 1 am, there was a meeting with a focus on entering the new month in God’s presence. As Duke’s birthday fell on 31st October, he shared on the subject, “How I Discovered My Life Calling and Found My Life Partner!” before sharing from the Bible. This frank talk touched the folk there. This talk was video-recorded like many other talks of Duke given at his base so that it could be shared with a wider audience. On November 30th, a never-before-seen number gathered at Duke’s base for the month-end mid-night prayer to hear very an encouraging and balanced message on miracles.

Duke Jeyaraj, along with his team of volunteers, hired the closed room in the first floor of the KFC Restaurant in Vikrampuri, Secunderabad on a Sunday Evening in December 2010 and held an evangelistic event there with a Christmas cum World AIDS Day theme. Around 20 folks gathered including those from Google, Deloitte, GE, etc. Shruthi Joy conducted a game that lightened the mood of the audience. “Scotty” Samuel and Joel Joseph helped with the worship and music. Fru Elvis came with a creative Gospel presentation. Kalyan and Esther took care of the physical arrangements. Duke shared a talk, ‘Wrong Philosophies Questioned By Christmas,’ which naturally lead the crowd into an animated discussion. In the discussion, the believers in the crowd used apologetics to share the Gospel in an informal way. Duke also led a quiz in this unique event which passed out the message of abstinence to those who came. Those part of the Bible Study group who could not go their respective homes on Christmas Day were warmly invited to have Christmas fellowship lunch with the Dukes at their base.

He talked about the things this Joseph gave up to make the first Christmas happen in order to challenge those who gathered to hear him. Later on, Duke challenged the believers in the crowd as well, briefly. The answer in one paragraph

Duke Jeyaraj, born to missionary parents from South India, was saved at the age of 11. He committed for full-time ministry at the age of 13 in a Camp. Since the age of 16 he has been preaching. During his Agricultural Engineering Course (B. Tech.) in the Allahabad Agricultural Deemed University he actively witnessed for Christ by leading Bible Studies in the college hostel and going for tract distribution in the city with like-minded friends. After completing this course, Duke worked in Chennai briefly. During this time, Duke (who was 23 years at that time) was invited to speak to a group of Sri Lankan Tamil Youth by their pastor who read one of Duke's articles published in a leading Christian magazine. Since then, God has opened the doors for Duke to speak in various settings across different Church Denominations in over 16 Indian States. Church of South India, Church of North India, Society for Propagation of the Gospel, Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, Assemblies of God, Mennonite Bretheren, Bakth Singh Assembly and other independent, non-denominational Pentecostal and non-Pentecostal churches, etc - these are some of the church denominations that have had Duke speak in their meetings. Duke also gets invited across organisational barriers. He has spoken in events organised by organisations such as Friends Missionary Prayer Band, Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, Jesus Calls, Youth For Christ, Inter Collegiate Prayer Fellowship, Indian Evangelical Mission, Indian Evangelical Team, Compassion International, Evangelical Medical Fellowship India, Operation Mobilisation, India Missions Association, Metropolitan Mission, etc. The wide acclaim and acceptance in Christendom is seen in the fact that Dr. Sam Kamaleson, the founder of Friends Missionary Prayer Band and former vice-president for World Vision International, has written the foreword for Duke's first book. Duke has also served as an English Translator at one time for Bro. Mohan C. Lazarus' God TV program. Duke's writing ministry is also inter-organisational. Light of Life, a leading Christian magazine that goes to about 20,000 folk across the world, publishes Duke's Bible-light-shining articles on current topics regularly. "The Sowing Circle" (The Bible Society of India's magazine), "The Sower" (Methodist Church's magazine), "Insight" (Assemblies of God's Bible College Annual Magazine), "AIM" (Evangelical Fellowship of India's magazine), "Blessing" (Blessing Youth Mission's magazine), "Kerith" (the youth magazine of Friends Missionary Prayer Band) and the printed voice of the Indian Evangelical Team - all have carried Duke's articles at various times. At various times, Indian newspapers/news-magazines such as Outlook, India Today, The Week, The Sunday Indian, The Sportstar, Frontline, The Hindu, Deccan Chronicle, etc have carried Duke's hard-hitting comments on sports events and contemporary events. It has been Duke's privilege to speak to college students right in their campus on hot youth issues from the Bible, over the years. Duke has addressed students in Madras Christian College-Chennai, Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi, National Institute of Technology (REC)-Trichy, Pondicherry Central University, Kurnool Medical College, Lady Doak College, Madurai, Bishop Heber, Trichy, etc, at various times on timely topics.
Duke has even preached to the students of St. Aloysius College, a Roman Catholic Secular College in Jabalpur at one time. Duke also has spoken in some schools to teens on subjects like relationships with parents, elders and the opposite gender, on writing exams well, on wise career choice, etc. Duke has the honor of speaking to Corporate Company Employees right inside their office campuses. He had done that in Mindspace IT Park and in CyberGateway IT Park in Hyderabad. He was featured as a speaker in a National-level God@Work Corporate Company Employees Conference in Bangalore. Duke has briefly worked in Corporate Companies (including the Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) group). While he worked there, he conducted brief break-time fellowship meetings right inside the office premises. Duke, at various times in his life, has served as a youth pastor, Bible College Teacher, Writer, Editor, Counselor, Travelling Missionary Revival Preacher, etc. Every time and where ever Duke speaks, he constantly seeks to call the audience to repent from their sin and trust in Jesus who is the only way, by presenting Bible Truth wrapped around contemporary events the Jesus Luke 13:1-5 way. And the results have been very very encouraging. Hundreds have to Christ following his messages. Duke also expounds the Word of God in a practical way so that at the end of these messages the audiences are challenged for holy living, witnessing and ministry involvement through the local church and para-church organisations. Some young people have joined fulltime ministry having committed their lives for the same after one of Duke's messages. Duke in 20 years of itinerant preaching has always adhered to pulpit ethics - he has never used the pulpit of a church or a ministry to shoot down its own doctrines and beliefs. Instead, he has always sought to build up, encourage, challenge, motivate the audience and make them more effective and more energetic in their own local churches or other ministries they are already involved in. Duke has addressed crowds over one thousand on different occasions. While he has done this, he also keeps addressing small groups of people as well. Duke lives in Hyderabad with his wife, Evan, who is also an itinerant speaker. They have two little children - Dale and Datasha. Duke has the following theological degrees: Masters in Divinity (Gold Medal) and Master of Arts in Christianity. He is working on doctorate in ministry (D. Min.) in Southern Asia Bible College, Bangalore. Duke, in Feb 2006, started G4 Mission - an inter-denominational, inter-organisational organisation that aims to grab the Google Generation (modern youth) going to Gehenna (Hell) using creative ways. This Mission is run by free will offerings of Indians who believe in its vision. Duke and his wife are now full-time staff of this ministry. The day-to-day operations of this ministry are practically executed by volunteers who are in different places and in different jobs. G4 Mission is governed by an independent Government-registered Trust which includes non-relatives of Duke in it. The accounts of this Trust are submitted to the Government of India annually. DUKE PREACHES ABOUT THE DAY JESUS WOULD LAND AGAIN ON PLANET EARTH TO JUDGE ALL, ON THE SAME DAY BARACK OBAMA LANDS IN INDIA!

After preaching to the youth of the largest church in India, the NLAG in Chennai, Duke hopped onto a flight in Chennai Airport. He was hoping and praying that the flight would not get delayed. Because if it did, he would not be able to preach later that evening (Nov 5, 2010) in yet another AG church in Hyderabad! Thankfully that Indian Airlines flight was in time. As Duke walked out of the Hyderabad Airport, he saw Siddarth and Genelia, two Tollywood actors. He whispered a prayer for their salvation. But before he could give them his Gospel tract they got onto their respective cars! Missed chance!

Duke was picked up by Monoj and his wife at the airport and driven straight to Revival Centre AG Church at Fateh Nagar, Hyderabad. Both Manoj and his wife work for IT firms in the city and take active part in the ministry of that AG church. Rev. Mathew George, the founding pastor of this church warmly welcomed Duke. Over 300 folks had gathered. The crowd included folks who did not know Jesus. The church's worship team lead the crowd into a wonderful time of worship. A young lady did the Master of Ceremonies part very well. Then Duke was invited to the stage.

He began with a description of how India prepared to receive Barack Obama the US President on its soil that very day - 5 Nov 2010. And he went to talk about how we must be prepared for the Second Coming of someone far, far greater - Jesus. He talked about the striking elements of great Day of the Lord with words that began with "S". This heart-pricking message is already uploaded by that church youth onto Youtube.com. Search that site with these key words: "RCAG Youth Ignite - Rev. Duke Jeyaraj" You will find four videos of about 10 minute length each. You may want to see it because, these days, we don't get to hear too many messages on the day of Judgement.

At the end of Duke's message about 20-30 youth came forward to accept Jesus as Savior. Duke taught them the sinner's prayer. After that, he also spoke for a few minutes to the believers in the congregation as to why Jesus was returning. He outlined the reasons from the Bible is a few minutes. It was a powerful time overall. God blessed the service. Duke also prayed for the core worship team of the church upon the invitation of the Pastor, Rev. Mathew George, who incidentally, was Duke's senior in Southern Asia Bible College. Then, after a delicious dinner which the Pastor's wife served very lovingly for Duke, he returned home in the car of Manoj. Please pray that fruits of this meeting will count for eternity and will remain.

Duke Jeyaraj's annual report of G4 Mission, the ministry to modern youth he founded in Feb 2006

Beginning of it all…

When I went forward to answer a missionary challenge given in a Blessing Youth Mission camp in the year 1988 as a fourteen year old boy, little did I know then, what the Lord would do through me – the tiny me. I just went forward when the call was given, offering to the Lord my five loaves and two fish (I should admit it was even less than that). I was also inspired to do this because I have seen my father throw his secure CMC Hospital Engineer job (when I was just 2 years old) to come to the fulltime ministry with a fledgling organisation and how God took care of his needs. God had done great things in my life, over the years. I later studied upto graduation in Technology (B. Tech) in North India. Later, I joined the Masters in Divinity in Southern Asia Bible College as I wanted to formally trained to do the ministry. I worked as a youth pastor (to some of most modern youth in India) in New Delhi. This was my first fulltime ministry assignment. In this period, I married Evan, a missionary's daughter. Later, when I knew my call was to bless the modern generation in not only one church but all churches and denominations, I joined Blessing Youth Mission, a trans-denominational revival missionary organization, as a traveling missionary-writer-in-residence and worked with them for three years. During this period, I traveled extensively preaching in youth camps, college meetings and church events in places as far out as Kalimpong in the Himalayas and in Tuticorin in South Tamil Nadu. Sometimes, during these extensive travels my wife traveled with me and shared the pulpit. At this point in our life and ministry, the Lord lead my wife and I to the city of Hyderabad - the most centrally located big city in India. "Go there and from there I will use you to bless all the modern youth (the Yahoo Youth, as I called them then and the Facbook Folk, as I call them now) in all four corners of India! I will use you to grab them from going to Hell and make them go gaga over my Word!" My wife and I simply obeyed that call of God. We came to Hyderabad, with our little son Dale in tow. Initially, God lead me to work in the Corporate World so that I could launch a ministry of our own without looking to others for funds. After three years of doing that, I quit my job in November 2008 - over two years ago. Meanwhile I formally began, Grabbing the Gadget Generation from Gehenna (the Word Jesus used for Hell) Mission, in Feb 2006. It's been over five years of independent ministry with our base in Hyderabad. It's been over two years of full-time ministry for both of us (my wife and I). God has been very good.

A year in which we had 11 Monthly Bible Studies n 10 Midnite prayers

Big Day in Vijayawada!

In Vijayawada, this year, Evan and I preached in what was the biggest ever youth convention we preached in and possibly Vijayawada's biggest youth convention ever. Over 2000 youth crammed into the Loyola College Auditorium in an event organised by Metropolitan Mission on October 2. Hundreds of youth came to the altar and accepted Jesus. Posters with our pictures, attractively designed by this church youth invited youth from everywhere to come for this meeting. Your possible last chance ever, was one of the messages I preached that big day. My wife preached on 7 Bs that help to beat temptation.

A year in which our message CDs travelled to countries such as Bangladesh, US, Singapore, Dubai, to bless many and were telecast on TV too

Brandishing the Sword called the Bible in Bangladesh!

This year the Lord took us to the country of Bangladesh and made us a blessing to 60 leaders from all over that country. Both of us preached practical messages to this youth in a Compassion International Leadership Development program. Many of the youth, knelt down and gave their lives to the Lord. Later they were challenged to leaders who were lead by the Spirit, not leaders who were lead by their bodily desires (like Samson was). I would have been in the US to coach youth in a Compassion Conference there, if only my visa was not denied.

No Beating About The Bush Time with the Boisterous Bunch of Modern Youth from the Biggest Church (not not-as-big churches)!

This year the Lord took me to preach to the cream of the Facebook Folk (high-schoolers, college-goers and corporate company workers) of the largest church in India, the New Life AG Church, Chennai. At the end of this rocking camp, these youth received rock-solid teachings straight out of the Bible teachings on hot topics like Why God Created Sex & How Man Went On To Abuse God's Gift of Sex with illustrations from the modern world. There were times of hushed silence and holy decisions, in this camp.

This year the Lord took me to preach to young folks in the Victory Church in New Delhi, the Centenary Baptist Church in Secunderabad, the Wesley ClockTower CSI Church in Secunderabad, the Wesley Musheerabad CSI Church in Secunderabad, Revival Centre AG Church, Hyderabad, SPG Church, Secunderabad, Metropolitan Church, Vijayawada, and the Capstone Church in Vizag. They were all blessed immensely. I challenged the believers in these churches to become daring soldiers and soul winners instead of remaining seat warmers and spectators. Blessing the youth of different churches and denominations by challenging them to holy living and for a witnessing life remains our priority. My messages to these diverse groups varied as the Holy Spirit gave me different messages to preach to different youth groups. For one youth group it was, "The Greatest Love Story Ever Told" (from Hosea 3). For another youth group the message was, "The Climax of The Greatest Love Poem of the Planet!" (from Song of Songs 8). For yet another youth group the message was, "You can even postpone your first night with your wife to prepare for this Day!" (from Minor Prophets).

We are not a church but just a help to the local church where ever it is. One pastor told me, "What you have taught our young people about sex, love and marriage from the Bible was useful even to older folk. What we pastors find difficult to teach our youth, you do with prophetic anointing!"

I also had opportunities to speak to young people on hardcore youth issues like relationships with parents and the opposite gender in Ebenezer School, Chennai. Their eyes were opened! I made a visit to the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad to pray there with like-minded folk and take part in a strategy meet for an evangelistic event in this premier Business School, this year. For the first time I addressed students in Pondy Central University right inside their campus this year and saw many rededicate their lives to the Lord. Pondy became the 17 Indian state the Lord has opened ministry doors for me to preach his Word in, in this itinerant ministry of mine that began on August 9, 1991 – the day I preached my first sermon as a School Kid.

A year in which our mag was appreciated by young people living even in Amsterdam

Banquet set up for the Bible-hungry About What The Message of Each Book of The Bible Is

On the first Sunday of each month of 2010 (with the exception of December) I invited Bible-hungry folks from all parts of Hyderabad to our office-cum-base-home just behind the Kanajiguda Petrol Pump in the Tirumalgiri area for a riveting, rare Bible Study – a Bible banquet so to speak. I used the name of the Bible book as a short-form for its message. We did this sort of Bible study for 11 Old Testament Books including Song of Solomon, Ecclesiastes, Proverbs, Job, Psalms, Esther, Nehemiah, etc. The folk were left our base they were hungry for more such studies after I treated them with unadulterated Bible biriyani of great taste. A vice-president of Deloitte who could not attend the Ecclesiastes study got the outline I developed for the same via email. He wrote back talking about how much he liked it. During these meetings, we had great times of worship and a 'giggling' time of games before I started to brief the audience what the message of one full book of the Bible was in a practical way (for about 1 hour to 1 and a half hours). I also took time to answer questions after a powerful time of prayer that my wife invariably led. The folk who gathered left after having snack. This study began three years ago. So far 37 Bible Book books have been covered. We have only two more books of the Old Testament left in this series that blessed young working professionals from companies such as Infosys, Dell, Delloitte, GE, etc. We had students from the African continent who also attending this Bible Study. One such young man told me that the Holy Spirit told him not to miss even a single such study and he made a covenant to this effect!

I also took time to serve the delicious meat of God's Word on Sunday Morning Church Services in Philadelphia Church in Chennai, Hosanna AG Church in Pondy, Capstone AG Church, Hitex City and Living Word Missionary Church, Chennai. On Good Friday, I preached God’s Word in the church of Rev. Jeyakumar in Bangalore. My message on 10 S words that described how Jesus was tortured for us on the Cross, melted the audience and helped them take practical steps to draw near to Jesus. In fifteen minutes, I summarized the essentials of ministry to modern youth from the Bible to the student body of Southern Asia Bible College, Bangalore this year. "We have never heard anyone taking passages such as Song of Solomon 8 and using it to teach frank Bible truth for modern youth like you just did!" - one listener testified.

A year in which we preached in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Pondy, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, etc, to bless youth of many backgrounds

’Barnabas’-ing a group of Working Professionals at Midnight on the Month's End!

”Want to enter the new month in God's presence with a Promise Word from the Bible practically explained by Duke?”, I asked young working professionals via phone messages. Each night about 10 to 15 such youth (including ladies) said yes and came to our base for a prayer meeting from 11 pm to 1 am on the last day of the month. We had 10 such meetings on January 31, February 28, March 31, etc In each of these meetings I shared brief encouraging promise message from the Bible. I played Barnabas to them. Barnabas means encourager. I took up a promise verse passage in the Bible, explained it in a practical way. Not only that - I expounded the conditions that go along for us to inherit those promises. The Lord blessed folk who came for this meeting in a clearly visible way. One of them has moved to the US for a job. A bunch of them have got salary hikes. :)) But more importantly, these folk discovered spiritual power in that meeting to face the challenges of the new month!

Boxing-in the Bible's Message To Cool Crowds of Over 1000 Boldly and Seeing Great Results!

On two occasions, I was invited by Pastor Younus Samuel to speak to crowds of over 1000 modern youth (college goers and corporate company workers) in events organized by Hyderabad's New Life AG Church, this year. These events were held in a wedding reception hall and saw many non-believers attending. The crowds were quite boisterous and in a playful meet when I was given the mike. But they calmed down as he began his Gospel presentation under the Spirit anointing using innovative methods. He preached two messages that brought youth to altar to accept Christ on these two occasions. On one occasion, 400 folks who were in church for the first were there. Over 100 of them answered the altar call that I gave following a moving message from John 10:10.

A year in which Duke preached in Ahmednagar, Vizag, New Delhi, Vijayawada,Chennai, Wayanad, etc and saw many youth commit their lives to Jesus and for holy living

Book that bluntly addresses hot yet hushed up topics published Before Brimming Parents!

My mother, Mrs. Vimala Jeyaraj, has often told me that all she needed to do to keep me engaged during Christian Meetings in which Dad, Mr. A. Jeyaraj, helped as a translator to Uncle R. Stanley, was to give me a notebook and pencil. I would scribble away to glory without disturbing anyone, she informs me. That habit stuck with me, it looks like. I started writing letters to The Hindu newspaper as a School Boy. Over 50 of those letters were published. Later on, the Lord led me to write articles for youth from the Bible. The first article of mine that was published in a Christian magazine was in the year 1993 - a report of the missionary kids I was part of. The report was published in Blessing mag. I was 17 years old at that time. From that time I have been writing. When a Sri Lankan Tamil Pastor invited me to preach in Germany after reading my article on Absalom in the year 1998, I was overjoyed. Through these formative years, Dr. Mrs. Lilian Stanley helped me to become a better writer. Little did I know then, that what I would write a book at that point in time.

But that's what happened this year. My book, NO BEATING ABOUT THE BUSH STRAIGHT TALK ON HUSHED UP MATTERS, which was basically a collection of my contemporary-event wrapped essays on what the Bible had to say about matters like sex, love and marriage and more, was released by my mother, Mrs. Vimala Jeyaraj, after prayer by my dad, Mr. A. Jeyaraj in the presence of Rev. Allen Prosper in Hosannah AG Church, Pondicherry. Also present were my entire family along with the families of my brothers Kingsley and Prince. The Lord opened the hearts of one of college contemporaries to sponsor the printing of this book and another dear person from Nagercoil to arrange for its page layout. This book is in good demand it goes on to talk about topics which are swept under the carpet by most Christian communicators - topics like masturbation, how far is too far when it comes physical intimacy, homosexuality, beating sexual temptation, etc.

A year in which Duke preached in events organised by church organisations like Nireckshana, Asian Sahoyi Sanstha, AG, Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran, etc

Bridging, contemporary events with the Bible thro' magazine and articles

Bridging Bible Truths around contemporary events the way Jesus did in Luke 13 and Paul did in Acts 17 is our God-given mandate. And that's why we publish a magazine, The Days Of Your Youth (online at www.TheDaysOfYourYouth.com) that does just that. This year we published 3 issues of that mag and distributed it to our subscribers and supporters. Bulk copies were sent to people in strategic places and these people distributed this mag to more and the message went on. The PDF copies of our mag goes to my emailing list of over 2000 people. These people forward what they have received to more friends. One young man living in Amsterdam received one such PDF of our mag and posted 'you-mag-is-a-blessing' note on Facebook, this year. One HSBC manager told me that she carried my mag to her office. Invariably, her copy of the mag would travel several desks in the office as people read it and passed it around. A man from Vijaywada after reading the lead article of one of this year’s issues, “What is your favorite number?” said, “I never knew such deep spiritual truths can be learnt from different numbers found in the Bible!”

This year, I took up events like Laxman's fourth-innings miracle batting at Mohali to wrap it around the Gospel (in a poem format). The last page of our mag always has a Gospel presentation wrapped around a contemporary event.

A year in which young people came closer to Jesus and understood the Bible better in meetings done by different churches, from CSI to Capstone in Hyderabad in which Duke ministered

Blue-ray Dics - that's the next stage in our Message CD production efforts

This year we produced more message CDs to bless the folk world-over. I was thrilled to hear from a young man from Pondy how he never forgot a DVD message of mine titled, "Do You Have It In You?" this year. I was over the moon when a person who lives in the US told me that a certain young man loves to hear DVD messages of mine. We, by this year-end, have over 15 DVDs featuring my messages (and in some cases my wife's messages) shared directly in English; about another 15 DVDs of mine with vernacular translation. We have four MP3 Message CDs as well, with each CD having over 10 different messages that I have preached to different audiences: non-believers, corporate company workers, believers, etc. In the last financial year, I discovered over Rs.50,000 worth of message CDs/books/magazines of ours were sold in various meetings I preached in. I put this sale money back in the ministry fund. Now, I am thinking of how to distribute these messages of mine, which are deliberately blunt and bold and delivered in a bubbly, freewheeling style to choice audience, world-over, thro' blueray discs. Bits of these messages have been uploaded in Youtube.com. They will show up if that site is searched under, Duke Jeyaraj. They have recorded quite a number of hits – one video has over 8500!
Blending with other Christian Organisations to fulfil the Great Commission
I often say that G4 Mission, this ministry of ours, is not only inter-denominational but also inter-organizational. We blend into our organizations to do all what we can to fulfill the Great Commission. We take up invitations from other para-church organizations to minister to youth, instead of conducting programs for youth ourselves, each time there is a public holiday. This year, I preached in New Delhi in a youth event organised by Asian Sahoyi Sansta. About 100 young people were blessed through the two messages I preached in that event (on salvation and overcoming temptation). In another event organised by Nireckshana in Hyderabad, this year, I spoke about the importance of taking efforts to confront dark realities such as Human Trafficking/Flesh Trade by providing sound Bible teaching to youth on matters such as sex, love and marriage to youth we come in contact with. Youth Arise, an inter-denominational youth group lead by two young men, organised a youth event in Narsapur, Andhra Pradesh, which saw over 700 youth attended. Evan and I preached in this event that saw folk being filled with the Holy Spirit and committing for fulltime ministry. Both of us also had time to talk about intimate matters in an interesting way with the men and women separately from the Bible, without beating about the Bush.

A year in which over 1000 youth from many colleges, corporate companies in Hyderabad heard of Jesus thro Duke's msg in Hyderabad TWICE in NLAG events

Break-through efforts to share the Goodnews with the Google Generation Youth!

This December, we hired a hall in KFC Restuarant in Hyderabad with a closed glass room space and had a Gospel meeting inside! This modern generation may refuse to come to church or even a Christian home but KFC is a place they would love to be, isn't it? Among those who came were three Google Hyderabad employees including a non-believer! I spoke on Popular Philosophies (like Atheism, Hedonism, etc) which Christmas Questions! After that, we had a time of discussion where the believers present used apologetics to bring out various facets of the Gospel. In the same meeting, I ran a different sort of AIDS-awareness quiz emphasizing abstinence.

I split up my messages on hot youth topics as Youtube Video Clips and I am seeing that they are scoring an amazing number of hits! For example, the video clip of mine titled, "Sex outside of marriage - Preity Zinta Vs. Bible - Duke Jeyaraj" has had over 8500 hits. The Youtube messages I uploaded this year have interesting titles such as: When I Was Sexually Tempted; When Alone With A "Mallika Sherawat" Like Woman...; Falling Into The Same Sin Again and Again, Help Me!;, Armani Suit, Amsterdam Visit, Adidas Shoe, Yet No Satisfaction In My Soul; Rig Veda, Ripped Back, and Salvation; Nayanthara Vs The Bible When It Comes To Exposure; Telugu Movie Song Vs. The Bible on Fondling etc I got an message from a US Army Soldier, a US High School Student and a host of others saying they were blessed some of by these clips. These type of videos are reaching to youth who are on Youtube surfing for porn! They stand almost alone preaching the Gospel among a row of porn videos when young people search for porn using certain key words!
On Facebook.com, the world's third largest country with a population of over 550 million, I ran an innovative program which encouraged 'facebookers' worldwide to read 10 chapters of the Bible daily and post what they learn on my Facebook account. This event greatly encouraged the Net savvy youth to get back to the Bible. I had over 190 people joining this event from many parts of the world. I posted the lesson I learn from my readings as my status update too. Several people were blessed. I received a 'I-am-blessed-by-your-thots-from-the-bible' message from folks far-out as Italy when I posted one such status update!

At home, the events of the year was the way my wife picked up "face-booking". She started an account with Facebook.com earlier this year and before the year came to a close she had over 500 friend requests. It has been always me who usually opens the laptop at our home-base these 9 years we have been married. But with the coming in of Facebook.com, my wife has taken over what I usually do! She has been praying and posting encouraging messages to a number of our ministry contacts. Via Facebook, we counselled and gave answers from the Bible to some questions young people posed on topics such as choice of life partner, conflict with parents, etc.

November 7 was Billy Graham’s birthday. That day happened to be a Sunday as well. I did not miss the opportunity to share with our Bible Study group why I liked Billy Graham (his integrity, his usage of contemporary events to illustrate the Gospel, etc) in a presentation before I went onto that day’s Bible Study – the study of the book of Leviticus.

Becoming Buddies With Youth and Counseling Them!

This year, at various times, we took time out to counsel modern youth who came to us for counsel. They bared open their hearts and problems to us even as we befriended them. We gave them biblical counsels to their problems relating to finding life partner, self-stimulation, porn-addiction, etc. Most of our messages are prepared keeping in mind the common questions of youth. We are now on the threshold of opening an exclusive counseling room at our base for modern youth.

Band of Volunteers that makes our work easier!

This year the Lord added fresh volunteers to our ministry volunteers team. One of them is Adeline Anurupa. She works for Accenture and now helps in the text-editing of our mag. Another young man by the name of Joel Joseph, who plays for the Sound of the Nations band helps us in CD Cover designs and Facebook Event Picture design, very enthusiastically. Theoson Kanagaraj, whom we first met when traveled in the train last December, multi-tasks for us in various ways - designing magazine pages and CD Covers. Hudson Paul, a missionary kids joined in the volunteers team by helping in the arrangements for our base meetings and updating our ministry contact lists. Arpana, another young woman was around to make tea and serve guests after the midnight month end meetings. Mamta Samuel, joined Evan in leading music classes at Rainbow International Schools, voluntarily. Esther Tammadi, regularly helps out in the base meeting arrangements. Prathusha N came home during her offs and finished a lot of pending office work. She also helped in sending Facebook Event Invites on my behalf from my account.

Eugene Pandian, my college contemporary in Allahabad, took time out to craft the cover for my book, STRAIGHT TALK, and most of the mag covers. Ravi Alamothu, who lives in Malaysia skillfully designed the inside pages of our magazine and all of the four pages of our Gospel Tract, Bubbly. Navamani Kingsley, who works for Deloitte, chipped in by designing the cover of one of the issues of our magazine and other back pages of the same. Ruby Evangel Chandrasekar, who lives in the US, created cute-looking CD Covers for our ministry and designed the last page of our magazine whenever I requested her. Steve Jothiraj, a young Bangalore Corporate Company Manager, along with Leema Pandian (despite having two little kids constantly calling for her attention) read up the text of my book STRAIGHT TALK to fish out errors in record time. Solomon Paul K. promptly sent updates about my meetings to a list of over 600 phone numbers via the web after summarizing them in SMS language. Florussel Satya uses a lot of creativity that she has in abundance to manage my Gospel Blog - www.purposespot.blogspot.com. Fenella Prince does the same with another blog of ours featuring news from our ministry at g-4mission.blogspot.com. Santhosh William sends 'done' in double quick time each time I send him an article to upload in our main web-site, www.TheDaysofYourYouth.com. Shruthi Joy, lead worship and conducted games and was the Master of Ceremonies for many of the ministry events we hosted. She did this with dedication and delight. Vinup Joseph drove down to our base with his guitar to lead worship in our Bible Studies and Midnight Month-end Prayers with a smile on his face. Priyanka Chouhan, Anisha Ambrose, Girisha, Abe and Priyanka Moses were willing to lend their pictures for us to use in our publications this year with making a fuss. Aaron Nelson, a right-on-target lens-man, came home voluntarily with his hi-tech cameras to do a photoshoot for us at our base. The result was a Facebook album that recorded maximum likes and complimentary comments! About 10 of these live-wires came home to make our 9th Wedding Anniversary which we celebrated on 9th July, an unforgettable one! Their gift of a smashing photo-collage adorns our walls till date. I cannot thank God enough for this terrific team of willing volunteers whom God has given me to assist me in executing His Call upon my life. I am standing up from set to clap for them! A year in which we both addressed the largest ever youth gathering in Vijayawada and saw hundreds give their life to Jesus

Bandwagon-mate

Doing Ministry becomes a joy (instead of it being a job) because of my wife, Evan. She has traveled in my bandwagon of life for the last 9 years through all the ups and downs. She manages the base when I travel to preach or to study in Bangalore great efficiency. She tutors my kids in their studies. She cooks meals for our many guests. Plus, she also travels to preach God’s Word with on occasions when it is possible. She preached in tandem with me in the Dhaka, Narsapur (Andhra Pradesh) and Vijayawada. People were blessed by her messages. She also preached in the Sunday Morning service of Capstone AG Church on Women’s Day Sunday. Her message from verses 6,7 of Job 8, Small Beginning; Smashing End, was a hit. One business man wrote to us saying that he was playing that message again and again and was hugely encouraged. A young lady smsed my wife (this year) saying, when I grow up I want to be a woman like you, a wife like you and a mother like you! We praise God for such testimonies. Just few minutes before 2010 ended, Evan was invited to pray for our local church’s youth department before a crowd of over 10000. Her spirit-propelled prayer shook the audience. Several came to her to say that that prayer of hers was soul-stirring, including the pastors. For Issue 24 of our magazine, The Days, Evan has written the lead article. The mag is not yet out, but the text editors have told me that article of hers was different and made delightful reading.

Balancing, Family and Ministry

This year, I took conscious efforts to balance family and ministry. The last thing I want is to have a packed ministry schedule and an empty family life! When I had to choose between urgent ministry works and being there during important family tender moments, I chose the latter. For example, I said 'no' to three youth camp preaching invites in the month of December (from Nagpur, from New Delhi and from Hyderabad) just to be able to be there for my family in a year I was invariably away from home, preaching during most of the public holidays. After my wife and I preached 18 messages in 48 hours in Wayanad, Kerala, in an AG Youth Camp there, we requested the organizers to keep us one more day there in the ‘honey-moon’-esque hotel that we stayed in, with our kids. We over-slept, went around boating, that day as a family and we enjoyed it!

A year in which Duke preached to the most modern youth of India's largest church

Bending my back and knuckles, Bending my knees

Since I was being choosy about the preaching assignments that I took up that meant that I had more time for doing two more things: writing (bending of my back and knuckles) and prayer (bending of knees). My writings, I know, will live longer than my preaching would and so naturally I needed to concentrate on that, since I am called to both preach and write. And talking about prayer - prayer is not a preparation for ministry but is the ministry!

I wrote articles this year that were published in Light of Life, India’s leading Christian magazine, a mag that goes to 20,000 folks world-wide, Friends Missionary Prayer Band’s Youth Magazine, Kerith, and a Tamil Christian Magazine out of Trichy published by Bro. Ravindran. I wrote articles wrapping Bible Truths around interesting contemporary events (like the Football World Cup 2010) and posted them on my Facebook account and also sent them via mass mails. My wife and I, took time out to fast and pray, twice a week, till evening, through this year. We also had two full weeks (in May and November) where our till-evening fasting lasted for a full week. There were times when we received the answer to our prayers via the phone while we were still on our knees! Despite all of this, I would be the first to admit that we need to vastly improve our praying.

Broadcasting, the Gospel through printed tracts and relayed TV programs

This year we re-printed our tract, Bubbly Outside, Yet Empty Inside, a Gospel tract written by me just for the modern generation for twice out. The updated tract that was released by December 2010 had stories about Michael Douglas (Hollywood actor who was wanting to come to India to discover ‘peace’), Michael Schumacher (who drove a Taxi of a cooperating Taxi Driver to reach an airport in Time), Lady Diana, Viveka Babajee (condom model who committed suicide) connected to different aspects of the Gospel. When I gave this tract to a Levis-jeans wearing, Woodlands-shoe sporting young man during one of my train travels this year, I saw him stand rooted to the ground and read the whole tract (four pages of it). A missionary of a leading missionary organization ordered 1000 copies of this tract to be distributed in Lucknow. We ourselves gave this tract in Market places, Airports, Bus Stands, Outside Shopping Malls at various times this year. Some how, the modern youth should be saved. A tract given is one effort we can take in this regard. We must go to the highways and byways and ask those who are standing to come into the feast of the Lamb. Giving a Gospel tract is one way to invite them in!

A TV channel by the name of Heaven TV telecast our messages on Sunday Evenings at 7 PM regularly this year. We keep receiving emails and phone calls after these telecast. The last email came from Thailand. This program is ongoing – you can watch it on any given Sunday evening at 7 PM (India Time) at www.heaventiv.in. On a Malayalam TV local TV channel, the messages Evan and I preached in the North Kerala AG Youth Camp were telecast this year.

Brushing up on things we already know and need to know

We haven't arrived yet in life and ministry. We need to learn a lot, still. That's we go to ONE LOCAL CHURCH so that we can learn things in a systematic way and we would be accountable to a body of believers who get to see us regularly. That is the New Life AG Church, Secunderabad. We are NOT part of the paid staff of that church. But we have spiritual fellowship there regularly. We go there to be fed by God's Word. This year, I don't recall that there was even ONE SUNDAY when we were not there, if we did not preach in any other church! We were blessed and built up by the edifying messages for Rev. Arlene Stubbs, the electrifying message for Rev. Valson Varghese and encouraging messages of Pas. Younus Samuel. We had the privilege of hosting Rev. Valson at our home one day this year and I had the honor of eating dinner out with Pas. Younus Samuel on yet another day. We make ourselves spiritually accountable to our local church pastors, though we are independent ministry that is supported by freewill offerings of those who are blessed by our writing and preaching.

I also brushed up on what I already knew and learnt many new things in the Doctor of Ministry course I am doing at Southern Asia Bible College, currently. A dear family I greatly love and thank God for is helping me out with the fees for this four-year course. I was there in Bangalore for three full working weeks this year at various times for this purpose. I was blessed by the teachings of World Class professors like Dr. Steve Lim (from the US), Prof. Prabhu Guptara (from Switzerland) and Mr. Ajith Prasadam (from India). I enjoyed one particular assignment that I did this year for my doctoral course. It was this one: summarizing my life under 13 ‘p’s before my 12 classmates. I repeated what I did in that class when I celebrated my 36th birthday at our base in the presence of corporate company youth on the midnight of 31 Oct-1 Nov.

Another way I brushed up what I needed to know was by reading books. The Archeological Study Bible, The New International Dictionary of Old Testament Theology and Exegesis, were among the choice Bible study tools God added to my library through the help of loving friends. The book, I was browsing through at the end of this year was by Dr. Ravi Zacharias’ Has Christianity Failed You? – a very good book.

This year I did take out time to meet with senior spiritual folk to get valuable advice from them. When I preached in Maharashtra in a youth camp this year along with my preacher professor, Dr. David Balasingh, I was blessed by his counsels. When I was in Southern Asia Bible College, for my D. Min. course, I took time out to be with Dr. Jacob Cherian and Dr. I. Praveen. I was a better person after talking with them. My inner man was built up as I talked my local church pastor, Rev. Valson and Pas. Younus Samuel.

Being there in homes and weddings sharing the Word and the Gospel.

This year, the Lord opened homes in which I could share his Word to eager believers. In one home, I practically summarized the message of Prophet Amos using the acronym, ‘Bethel’, the town he ministered in. In yet another home I shared from the lives of Bible Characters, whom the Bible recorded as being handsome or beautiful but had a character flaw like Absalom, David, Joseph, etc.

I was also in settings such as weddings/wedding receptions in Chennai and Guntur using even those occasions to bring in elements of the Gospel in speeches that were not only entertaining but also Gospel-light bringing for audiences that included influential non-believers. In the Chennai wedding reception conducted on the lawns of the huge CSI Church in Cathedral Road, there were non-believing employees of HCL, who were friends of the girl who was getting married and in the Guntur wedding, there were without-Jesus folk from the Corporate Companies the girl and her brother worked in.

In the month of January, the brother of one of our Bible Study regulars passed away. I was there at his home, sharing God’s Word in the memorial service. I shared on the topic: Different Channels Through Which God Comforts Us.

Blessings too many to count!

This year, the Lord blessed us in marvelous ways, this year. The crowning blessing was receiving at the end of this year from a very dear family who have received my mass emails with ministry updates and Bible-teaching articles for many years. They blessed us a sleek Andriod High-end phone: The Motorola Milestone and a Dell Laptop! Please pray for us, that we may use all the technology in the world, to spread all the truth found in the Word, to all the modern youth of this World!

Bucks that came from willing, God-sent Indians!

When we began this ministry, no individual or church or group promised to take care of all our expenses. But we knew God was with us and we began by faith and continue to operate by faith. This financial year (April 2009 to Mar 2010), the Lord blessed with offerings from willing donors - all of whom were Indian (except the ministry offering we received from Compassion International, Bangladesh, which was from its Bangladeshi Country Director). The folk who supported our ministry were from different parts of India and from different Indian States. In this lot were ordinary people who gave to God in with extraordinary generosity moved by the Holy Spirit. God's Work, done in God's Way, will not lack God's support and we shout a loud, 'That is indeed true!' to this profound statement. All this support came from folk who were blessed by our messages or writings. From this amount so received we paid all our ministry bills and also gave more a tithe to other preachers and other ministries we wanted to encourage and thank God for. We had a board meeting this year in the month of September at Chennai. Mr. Y. Silver Ramesh, a BPO owner from Arakonam took time out to be there. Pastor Gnanasekaran, made himself available even though he was about to leave for Sri Lanka for ministry. The ministry reports and accounts were submitted. My dad, Mr. A. Jeyaraj, later got them audited by an auditor (who is incidentally not a believer) and then the accounts were submitted to the Government of India. They sent us an acknowledgment for this too. We must do those things, which are right, not only in our eyes, but also in the eyes of others, Paul wrote when he talked about financial accountability!

Duke Teaches On Hottest Topics From The Bible To The Youth of India's Largest Church

Duke Jeyaraj was invited by Pastor Dr. Chadwick Samuel, the senior English Service Pastor for India's largest Church, the New Life Assemblies of God, Saidapet, Chennai - a church with about 30,000 members. Pastor Chadwick is the eldest son of the founding pastor, Rev. Dr. D. Mohan. It was an invitation to speak to a selection of that church's most-modern teens and twenties who highschoolers/college-goers/young single working professionals in a youth camp near in Padapai in the Believer's Church Campus in Chennai. Duke took the early morning flight from Hyderabad, the city where he lives to reach Chennai. Pastor Ben of the NLAG team warmly welcomed him and drove him to the camp site. Over 250 Google Generation youth had gathered in that serene, sleek-looking camp site.

In his opening session, Duke spoke from the book of Hosea. He presented a message titled, THE GREATEST LOVE STORY EVERY TOLD. He underlined the fact that God loved each one of us without any conditions. But He wants us to change, he added emphatically. The message of the book of Hosea, Duke explained was this: you may go to the Red Light area to be a prostitute but that would not put a red light (stop) on God's love for you! But He does not want you to wallow in that Red Light! He wants you to see 'red' (the blood His son shed for you on the Cross), repent and come to Him in faith. At the end of this session, almost all the 250 youth there dedicated or rededicated their lives to Jesus. They did this kneeling down after they raised their hands after Duke gave the call. They prayed the sinner's prayer with Duke. God's powerful presence was evident.

Duke then took three separate sessions on Sex, Love and Marriage for School-goers, College-goers and the Corporate Company Workers. After the Corporate Company session, Duke fielded questions on the subject on topics such as living-in, homosexuality, breaking up with an unbeliever, etc. It was an enlightening time. Duke also asked the group to study Genesis 39 and bring out lessons on beating temptations. The listeners became preachers instantly! Duke also included a session on Parent-Children relationship and Elders-Juniors relationship in his session for the School-goers. They raised their hands to indicate various decisions they prayerfully took after this session like making up with a friend they weren't talking to, for many many days. In the session with the College Goers, Duke was at his very best. Humor coupled with oratory skills coupled with anointed preaching - Duke showed these all by God's grace. The college students loved that session and lapped up every single word. Questions on masturbation and such intimate matters were asked without any hesitation and answered with great clarity. Many youth received deliverance from secret sinful addictions like porn-watching. Some even did not hesitate to raise their hands to indicate their willingness to repent from sexual sin and come to Jesus. The time of prayer was powerful. The 10 ways that Duke explained from the Bible that mankind abuses God's gift of sex, was certainly eye-opening.

Duke's books and CDs were briskly bought in these meetings. Copies of The Days of Your Youth magazine, the mag that wraps Bible truth around contemporary events (online on www.TheDaysOfYourYouth.com) were also distributed. There was a sale of close to Rs.4000/-. Sis. Suman Jonathan, arranged for the distribution of one of Duke's article, Jesus, the Friend Closer To The Brother, to the campers.

Even as Duke left the camp to take his flight back, he was a satisfied man. The Pastor, Dr. Chadwick Samuel also expressed satisfaction on what the Lord had done in these days. Duke handed over tracts to interested co-passengers in the flight. To God be the glory! Great things he did in Chennai!

On October 31st, Duke turned 36. In the same day, there was a month-end mid-night prayer at his base in Kanajiguda. Over a dozen youth turned up. There were youth from the countries of Ethoipia and Cameroon as well as they were from companies such as GE Money. God blessed this time that was earmarked to enter the new month in God's presence. Duke shared from his life in this service using a bunch of Ps (Pampered Duke to Pioneer Duke) and capped it off with a promise message from Psalm 1 explaining to those who gathered what they had to do claim this promise in their life: Whatever he does, will prosper! The story of Duke's life was video-recorded. Couple of youth who were there in this meeting posted messages in Facebook saying how they were blessed by Duke's testimony in this meeting. There was a similar prayer on September 30th. And, God willing, on November 30th, a Tuesday, another such mid-night month-end prayer would be conducted in Duke's base in Military Dairy Farm Road, Tirumalgiri, Secunderabad. What can be a better priority than to enter the new month in God's presence? Why don't you join in?!

NARSAPUR MEETINGS - 700 YOUTH BLESSED AND CHALLENGED BY DUKE-EVAN MESSAGES

The Youth Arise team lead by two young men, Ashirwad and John, invited Duke and Evan to preach in their annual youth convention in Narsapur, a sleepy coastal town in Andhra Pradesh, October 15-16, 2010. Over 700 young people turned up. After the first message which Duke from the book of Galatians titled, Solemn Facts About Salvation, many young people came forward knelt down and accepted Jesus as Savior, confessing their sins after repenting from them. After that, Evan taught the women on Relationships and Wise Life Partner Choice while Duke taught the men on Sexual Immorality. The sessions were proved enlightening, enthralling, educating and life-changing for the audience. After this session, Evan preached on 8 Bs that would help youth beat temptation and live a holy life. The youth who were serious about overcoming temptation came forward and spent time at the altar after this message. The next day, Duke taught the youth about the Holy Spirit and the blessing he brings into a young person's life. At the end of the message young people were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. In the last session, Duke challenged the young people for witnessing. Many youth made practical decisions like, "I will start a prayer cell in my college" after this message. Duke also called those who wanted to commit their lives for full time ministry forward. And a bunch of youth did. They climbed on the stage and the servants of God present in the hall prayed for these youth. Duke gave practical instructions to them like this: "Marry only a believer who has committed his/her life for fulltime ministry!" Overall it was very blessed camp in Narsapur. Duke and Evan stayed back one more day after the convention and enjoyed a day visiting the beach. God, first, Family, second, Ministry, last is the right order! The stronger the family bond, the more effective will be the ministry! Duke also encouraged the core team of Youth Arise to keep the fire burning in a session with them the day after the convention. Duke's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeyaraj took care of Dale(6) and Datasha(2), the kids of Duke n Evan, when they were away to preach in this convention. God bless them!

Duke Jeyaraj was invited by Pastor Pastor Younus Samuel of the Youth Alive, the youth ministry of New Life AG Church, Secunderabad. This event was called Life Ho To Aisi. The meeting took place in Millennium Gardens, a wedding reception place in Secunderabad. After a power-packed, thrilling, dose of songs, choreos, skits, Duke preached to the 1000 strong Google Generation from companies such as Google, Delloitte, Dell, Genpact, Bank of America present and various top city colleges present there using the text of John 10:10, "I have come to give you life - life to the full!" God had put in Duke's heart to speak from John 10:10 on 10/10 (October 30th)! Duke talked about three things the Devil would do in this message which began with a line about the movie HISSS before talking about the full life Jesus came to offer. He went to talk about cancer-stricken Hollywood actor Michael Douglas in this deeply-moving gospel presentation. "Only Jesus can fill that vacuum in your heart!" - Duke asserted. At the end of it, there were over 100 youth who came forward to receive Jesus as Savior. Some were fighting back their tears. There were friends from Islamic background, Hindu background, Nominal Christian background etc in this group. God was clearly moving mightily that evening! They were taken backstage and counselled by the core team of Youth Alive. Preaching in events like this has underlined Duke's basic call - to be an evangelist to the Google Generation!

On October 9, 2010, Duke Jeyaraj was invited by Pastor Younus Samuel to preach in the God@Work service of New Life AG Church in Hyderabad. EXCITING EXODUS BIBLE STUDY AT DUKE'S BASE

On October 10, a Sunday, in the evening. Duke lead a practical summary study in the book of Exodus for the Google Generation (about 20) that gathered in his Kanajiguda Base. In the crowd was a young man from Cameroon. This was the 36th such book he is summarizing after moving to Hyderabad following God's dictates, 5 years ago. Duke used the acronym EXODUS to outline the message of the book in a relevant way for modern youth. Shruti Joy lead in the Worship with Thamba. Duke teaches in this study with a view of making disciples of Christ out of the modern youth. He taught on delegating work and its importance under one of the points he shared. He began the study with a reference to an interesting time in World Cup Football 2010. Duke loves to wrap Bible Truth around contemporary events. There was an exciting game also played which Joy lead before Duke spoke. There was a time for fellowship following snacks that were served. The next Bible Study in this series will be in January 2011 first week's Sunday.

A ministry report
The Lord took Duke Jeyaraj and his wife Evangelin and made them a blessing for over 2000 youth who gathered in a large auditorium in Loyola College, in the city of Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh. The Metropolitan Mission, under Rev. Dr. Ebenezer's leadership organized this program. This pastor's son Joel took the lead in organising. Bill boards with pictures of Duke and Evan were put up all thro' the city of Vijayawada running up to the meeting. On Oct 2, 2010, it was raining in the morning. People prayed. Rain stopped. And 2000 youth from all over came in and heard the Word.

In the first session, Duke explained why Jesus can be a young person's most understand friend, starting off with a quote from the mouth of Telugu movie star Mahesh Babu. At the end of the message over 75% of the audience stood up and received Jesus as Savior. Next, Duke's wife, Evan, preached on how the youth could beat temptations. She talked about 7 Bs to beat temptations. She stopped after each point to lead the youth in prayer. Several hundreds committed their lives for Holy living. In the final session, Duke came back to explain why that particular time could present the audience the very LAST CHANCE OF SALVATION. The power of God came down. Over 500 youth came to the altar to give their hearts and lives 100% to Jesus. Among them, about 25 people came up to the stage as Duke challenged them to giving their lives for fulltime ministry. As the servants of God started laying on of hands on these youth, they began to be move in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. One young man fell to the floor without anyone even touching him, leave alone pushing him. God was clearly there! Youth were in tears, repenting and committing their lives to Jesus. It was an unforgettable day in Vijayawada. It had witnessed one of its largest ever youth convention! To God be the glory, great things he had done!

The next day, after Evangelin greeted the crowd, Duke spoke to church that organized this event - the St. John's Evangelical Church. He spoke from the Bible character of Uriah.God blessed the message that challenged the church to become soldiers for Jesus instead of being mere seat-warmers! Thank you for praying.

In the last Sunday of July, Duke was invited to speak in the SPG Tamil Cathedral, a church close to the Secunderabad Station by Santhosh William. About 150 folk braved rain to attend this youth lead service. After a grand presentation of a choreography, skit and songs, Duke preached from Hebrews 11 a message titled, What Would You Still Be Upto When It's Time To Go? Some young people redicated their lives to Jesus. Florussel, our volunteer, was there to record that message. Theo, another volunteer of ours, was there to help with the Book and CD stall. YOUNG CORPORATES BEGIN THE NEW MONTH IN GOD'S PRESENCE

On July 31, 2010 15 young corporate employees, including those from Accenture, Infosys, etc, attended our month-end midnight prayer (11pm-1am). It was the highest for a midnight prayer at our base thus far and such a joy to start the new month in God's presence. Joseph lead in worship and Duke shared a word of encouragement from the Bible about the God who enables us to walk with held held high! On August 1, 2010 (World Friendship Day), in the evening Duke presented the Gospel to 300 folks who gathered for the Tirumalgiri Fellowship's Annual Open Air Meeting. Duke presented Jesus as a friend closer than a brother in that passionate message that drew youth from rural as well as urban background. We had about 20 youth come forward to receive Christ.

SONG OF SONGS EXPLAINED IN A PRACTICAL N POWERFUL WAY

On August 8, 28 young people (and some older folks) from various churches and corporates joined us for the Song of Songs Bible Study that Duke lead at his base. Joy and Joseph lead in worship. Joy lead in an engaging game that excited the audience and drove home a message. Duke brought out lessons on sex, love, marriage, porn and more from the Bible book of Song of Songs using the name of the book as the acronym for its message in a blunt and blunt way. This was the 34th such Bible Book summary study that Duke has lead after moving to Hyderabad in October 2005. Young people rededicated their lives to Jesus for a life of holiness. 1000 COLLEGE STUDENTS HEAR OF JESUS

On August 14, Independence Day Eve, Duke presented the Gospel to a group of boisterous and bubbly college students of Hyderabad, about 1000 of them, in Youth Alive's AZAADI program in the Millennium College premises. Duke used the acronyms h-a-p-p-y to describe the wrong routes today's youth choose to find happiness before presenting Christ and His Cross as the only source of happiness. We had 40 youth come forward and accept Jesus as Savior.

IN A CATHOLIC SEMINARY TEACHING PROTESTANT CHURCH YOUTH ABOUT SEX N SALVATION

Both Duke and His wife Evangelin Duke, spoke to the youth of the Secunderabad Clocktower Wesley CSI Church in their retreat in a Catholic Seminary in Uppal. Using the story of the Rich Fool from the Bible Duke preached a salvation message after which about 15 youth accepted Jesus as Savior. Then Duke taught them why God created sex and how man went on to practically explain the 10 ways man has abused this precious gift. Evan shared principles to keep in mind while choosing a life partner to the youth. The young folks surrendered the bodies to the Lord Jesus after talk two and dedicated their lives for holy living.

The Electrifying Ecclesiastes Bible Study

Duke Jeyaraj lead a Bible Study on the book of Ecclesiastes in his base on the 4th July. Over 20 people, young and old, corporates and students, from various churches and two countries (India and Cameroon) attended this rare study that takes place once in a month. Shruti Joy and Vinup Joseph lead worship. Later Joy conducted a 'blanket' game that made people laugh and learn each other's names. Then came Duke with his study replete with illustrations from the contemporary world. Duke talked about the emptiness the Uruguayan Goalie felt during the Ghana-Uruguay World Cup Quarterfinals in his 90 minute presentation. At the end of the study a few people accepted Jesus as Savior. As the participants ate snacks sponsored by Monica Chauhan, Duke answered some questions that were raised. The June Midnight Month-end Prayer

About 15 people from the Corporate World hailing from different churches (including Pearl City, Aggies, Methodists, Lutheran) met between 11 pm to 1 am on the 30 June-1 July at Duke's base in Hyderabad. They entered the new month in God's presence. Joy lead in worship along with Joseph who was on the guitar. There was a time for testimonies which the youth used to give God the glory for what He did in the month of June for them. As the clock struck 12 midnite the youth were praising God. After they entered the new month, Duke brought a promise word saying, "Nothing is impossible with God!" He explained what all were impossible for God. Not only that, Duke explained the conditions for these promises to be fulfilled. In the time of prayer that followed prophetic words flowed from the mouth of Evan and Sunita. Our volunteers, 10 of them, came to our home on 9th July and made our 9th wedding anniversary celebrations unforgettable. We answered questions about each other, played games (tie tying for Evan, hair arranging for Duke), garlanded each other and exchanged vows. A KFC treat (sponsored by them) followed. The volunteers brought in a huge collage of our pictures photo framed. Duke shared from Isaiah 59:16 to encourage them. Duke's ministry is uniquely volunteer-driven. Duke Preaches in CSI Wesley Church Youth Retreat

Duke preached in the CSI Wesley Church, Musheedabad, Secunderabad, Youth Retreat on the 10 July. 100 youth from 12 churches turned up. The rains were held up for those 8 hours miraculously. Duke preached on the topic, Loving What You Should Be Shoving (Hating). The altar was full of youth who committed their lives to Jesus after Duke's challenge. Copies of The Days Of Your Youth magazine were distributed among the youth. Duke has worked with over 11 different denominations in Hyderabad city alone in the past four years he has lived and ministered there. Truly, G4 Mission, the organisation that Duke founded in Feb 2006 is inter-denominational.

A Report

In Dhaka, Bangladesh, we both address 60 youth drawn from leading Christian Groups of Bangladesh. There were youth from the Assemblies of God, Salvation Army etc. The Lord blessed the meeting called, Emerging Leaders Summit. It was organized by Compassion International. The Country Director of Compassion, Mr. Kajal Sengupta, invited Duke n Evan, both Compassion-sponsored children at one point in time, to speak here after Mr. Jebaraj, the Compassion Country Director (East India) put a kind word about them to him. Duke's preached from the stories of Absalom, Samson, Daniel and Amos. Evan preached from the story of Esther. Duke lead in a quiz from the book of Esther and Daniel. He had questions from Bangladesh Cricket as well. Evan lead in a Fashion Show. The highlight was 20 young leaders giving their lives for fulltime ministry. Brother Michael Keintz and Brother Noel, the Compassion International Director of Philippines were the other speakers. Bangladesh became the 3rd country that Duke was speaking, apart from India. When we were away in Bangladesh our kids were in a small village in Tamil Nadu with their grand parents.

In Wayanad Hills, Kerala, Duke and Evan preached 18 messages in less than 48 hours to about 400 youth from the Malabar region of Kerala in an AG District Youth Camp. Good number of people committed their lives for salvation, holy living, water baptism and fulltime ministry. Several were filled with the Holy Spirit, too. Pastor Ajit and Rev. V. T. Abraham made our visit sweet and wonderful.

In the New Life AG Church, Hyderabad, Duke preached to about 700 young people in the Day one of their annual youth convention, Summer For Jesus. Duke's message, "The Greatest Experience Ever," from the book of Hebrews, a message that began with a gripping narration of the Greatest Ever One Day Game Between South Africa and Australia in March 2006, in which South Africa chased down Australia's 400-plus total. 40 to 50 youth gave their lives to Christ after this message. Duke first came to Hyderabad upon the invitation of Pastor Younus Samuel to speak in Summer For Jesus 2002!

In the town of Ahmednagar, in Maharashtra, 395 youth registered and took part in the Maharashtra State AG Youth Camp. Duke had the humbling honor of speaking in this camp along with Dr. David Balasingh, the teacher of his who taught him the preaching course when he was a student of Southern Asia Bible College (M. Div. Course - 1998-2001). The power of God was demonstrated mightily in this camp. Almost all the Campers came forward after Duke's daring salvation message call and direct sexual purity call. After Duke's final message, a missionary call, 70 young people, some with tear-streaked faces came forward. There was a wonderful sale of Duke's books and CDs in this camp. We had two Bible Studies in our base of late. One was on the book of Job. Duke summarized the entire book of Job using the acronym, Job of Uz. The other study was on the book of Psalms. Duke summarized the entire book of Psalms using the acronym, Psalms. SETTING HEARTS ABLAZE AT OUR BASE!

At 11 PM on January 31st and on Feb 28th till 1 AM, the next day, we had two month-end prayers at our rented base in Military Dairy Farm Road in Hyderabad, invite for which you see in this gallery. Duke shared the Word in the January meeting, while Evan, his wife, shared the Word in the February meeting. We also had three Practical Bible Book Summary Studies in the same place in the months of January, February and March on the books of Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther respectively. Duke led these studies. Bible-hungry folk from different churches and corporate companies (like Microsoft, Dell, Delloitte, Genpact, etc) attended and were blessed in these meetings. Several hearts were ‘strangely warmed’ by the Word of God, so very practically expounded.

CHALLENGING MESSAGES DELIVERED TO CHURCH FOLK IN HYDERBAD!

Duke was invited by the Universal Baptist Church of Hyderabad to preach God’s Word in a meeting in the month of January. Duke’s message, The Call To Be Like Paul – Imitating the Fully Human Man Who Imitated Christ Like None! touched the elite crowd that came to hear him. Later on, Evan, Duke’s wife, was invited to speak in the Women’s Special Sunday Service in the month of March of the Capstone AG Church in Kondapur, Hyderabad. Her message from the book of Job encouraged and challenged this church full of corporate employees, greatly. Duke also preached in the same church, the following Sunday, on the wrong ideas that people generally have about the Holy Spirit. Several believers received clarity on this crucial subject and had an encounter they could not forget with the Holy Spirit.

VIZAG YOUTH TAUGHT CRUCIAL BIBLE TRUTH!

Duke was invited by Capstone Fellowship, Vizag, to preach in their special Valentine Day Season event on a Friday Evening in February. After a gripping presentation of songs, chreos and skits by the core members of this fellowship, Duke preached a message from Song of Songs Chapter 8 titled, Lessons from the Climax of the World’s Greatest Love Poem! In this talk, he boldly talked about taboo topics such as porn, boy-girl physical intimacy, falling in love, etc, in the light of God’s Word. This talk was audio recorded and later became part of Duke’s MP3 CD, The Duke Sex, Love, Marriage Talk Collection. At the end of this message, several modern youth of Vizag rededicated their lives to Jesus.

AT NEW DELHI TO KICK THE DEVIL IN THE BELLY!

Duke was invited by Rev. Dr. Y. D, Jeyaseelan to preach in the Victory Church Youth Conference this February. Duke preached three messages on the Incomparable Love of Christ, What The Bible Teaches About Sex and Overcoming Temptations to the 200 youth who gathered. Many lives in the grip of the Devil were touched and transformed and the Devil got a kick in his belly! Later, in yet another weekend, Duke was back in Delhi in the same month, to speak in an ASSI-organised meeting for youth upon the invitation of Brother Prakash James, Duke’s SABC senior. Young people from different churches, including a bunch from the famous Jesus & Mary College, attended. Several youth came to the altar to get right with God and to gear up to go after the lost, following Duke’s interesting and inspiring messages.

COUNSELLING, WRITING, SELF-REFLECTING & ‘TRACTING’!

We continued to counsel young people who showed up at our rented base in Hyderabad by listening to their problems and offering biblical solutions. We did this over phone as well as email, these last three months. Duke took a day out to just pray and introspect near a beautiful lake in Hyderabad in the month of January. It was a wonderful exercise! His articles appeared in the Light of Life magazine, in each of their first three issues of the year. This magazine goes to about 20,000 people across the globe. The March Month article was titled, Mrs. Mahlon Vs Ms. Padukone! He also gave out our gospel tract, Bubbly Outside, Yet Empty Inside, during his two flight journeys to New Delhi in the month of February to interested co-passengers and of course, the airhostesses!

A JANUARY OF EXPANDING GOD'S TERRITORY

The first month of the year 2010 is over and the Lord has been very good to us. The year began with an surprise opportunity to pray before 7000 people of the New Life AG Church, Hyderabad on 1 January 2010, along with other distinguished people.

This month, the blessed our WRITING ministry. The 20th issue of our mag, The Days... rolled out of the press and was posted. Sanjeev Almeida and Esther Pranuthi helped us to do that. We received testimonies about how this particular issue was a blessing. The lead article on Ruth by yours truly, truly made youth think 'hatke' when it came to their life partner choice. We are working on Issue 21 which should be out by end of this month.We thank God for our tireless team of selfless volunteers.

This month, we re-printed our tract, Bubby Outside, Yet Empty Inside. We included updated stories, like the one on the Indian Yahoo Engineer who worked in the US, Devan, who committed suicide after shooting most of his family, last year, in this tract that was first printed in xerox format in 2001. We included a picture in all the four pages to make it more attractive and we have started distributing it too. We distributed in our train journey from Vijayawada, the other day.

Light of Life Mag, carried my article on the importance of early-rising in its January issue. This magazine goes to about 20,000 people across the globe.

In the PREACHING front... I preached in four meetings this month. On January 3, I summarized in a practical way, the message of the book of Ezra using his full name as an acronym in a meeting at our Kanajiguda base. On January 6, I spoke in funeral prayer meeting in Yapral, near home. It was a service held in the honor of a 40 year old drunk who became a believer just before he passed away. Interestingly he named his little son, Steve Waugh. I reeled off my favorite Steve Waugh stories ('Son you've dropped the World Cup' story was one) in the message and called for a commitment to Christ, before it becomes too late. And the crowd responded. On January 14, I spoke for the first time in a meeting organised by Universal Baptist Church in Bhaglingampally in Hyderabad. 70 seasoned, influential folk, including a senior police officer attended. I spoke on the topic: The Call To Be Like Paul: Imitating The Fully Human Man Who Imitated Christ! I used the full name of Paul, Saul Paul, to outline his character for us to copy. On the 31 January, in our base, I lead a thanksgiving prayer for what God did in January and preached a promise message from Ezekiel 34:11-16. History was created as folks from corporates such as Dell, Delloitte, Genpact and folks from four different churches, and folks from all agegroups attended in that meeting from midnight 11 pm to 1 am (running into Feb 1).

In fact, I said 'no' to a number of preaching invites this month, the reason being I had to complete my assignments for Doctor of Ministry Course with Southern Asia Bible College. I even said 'no' to an invite from the largest church in India! God is good. He keeps opening the doors. I went for an one day retreat to a park by a lake in Hyderabad as part of one of my assignment. And it was unforgettable experience that brought me closer to the Lord!

In the message CD front, we could release a number of DVD messages this month including the message I preached to 1300 youth from all over India in the New Life AG Church, Chennai in the National AG Youth Conference for the benefit of the google generation. I want to see the google generation go gaga over God's Word! Ruby Evangel, living in New York State, Theo, living in Hyderabad, did the cover designs, so very well.

In the COUNSELLING front, we were able to have young people come to our home regularly even this month opening their lives to us to receive biblical, practical counsel. We have opened an id marryabeliever@gmail.com where in we send the marriage profiles we have so far received to help youth find believer life partners. We would give the password for those who specifically ask and keep changing the password.

God willing, I speak in New Delhi, twice in the month of Feb (13th in the church lead by Pastor Y D Jeyaseelan and 26 in a meeting organised by Brother Prakash James) in two meetings organised by two different groups. Please pray. I return to Delhi, where my wife and I first went to live after we got married, after almost 9 years! On Feb 19, I will speak in the AG Church in Vizag lead by Pastor Ashirwad who in turn reports to Pastor Chaitanya my roommate in SABC.

The next practical summary Bible Book study will be on the 7 Feb at our base. We will take up the book of Nehemiah. This would be a 'corporates special' study. Nehemiah is such an awesome example for corporates in the area of what they can do for the Lord during their 'offs'.
